Building a Bushcraft Sawmill to Build a Log Cabin for Survival in the Wild, Catch and Cook
In this movie I build a bushcraft sawmill to build a log cabin for survival in the wild. The sawmill also functions as a mill, as it was done in the Middle Ages. I showed the mechanisms used in water and windmills. In the mill, I grind wheat and corn grain, catch and cook carp and perch in the hanging wood stove. TOUR MY TINY A FRAME CABIN | BUILT IN ONLY 7 DAYS
Welcome to my Tiny A Frame Cabin near the Twin Cities of Minnesota! I built this little cabin and campsite within days of moving back to my home state with my wife from Los Angeles, California. It was created to be a getaway into nature while transitioning to our new life in the Midwest. The cabin is a variation of Derek Diedricksen's Transforming A-Frame Cabin, with the transforming wall being left out, and a solid wall with a wood stove being substituted in. This was my first build ever and a great confidence boost that's led to additional builds like the Travel Cabin. The structure and exterior of the cabin took only 7 days to build! I hope you enjoy the tour of our little slice of paradise.

This week we're touring The Step A-Frame, a cozy off-grid cabin. Located about 2 hours from New York City, this Airbnb is situated on 78 gorgeous acres of land that feature a farm and river.
A perfect couple's getaway to escape for a bit and disconnect, there are various amenities such as a fire pit, corn hole, a grill, lots of games, and a complimentary bottle of wine to keep guests entertained throughout their stay. This micro cabin is a little over 100sqft total and comes with a separate outhouse and gas generator for a true glamping (glorified camping) experience.

Welcome to The Coalmont Cabin, a gorgeous waterfront tiny house set right on a lake!
This tiny cabin is set on 3.5 acres of land and has a huge outdoor deck, a hot tub, a fire pit, a private dock with lakefront access, kayaks, a playground, and outdoor games.
The interior is a little over 400sqft with bar seating for 4, a fully stocked kitchen with tons of counter space, a loft with space for the kids, and a living room with a wood stove. The bathroom has a rain shower head and the bedroom has a queen-size Tuft and Needle mattress.

YEAR TWO | Renovating Two Stone Cabins in the Italian Alps
Compilation of the second year living off the grid in Italy. I was halfway the roof renovation of the first cabin and got it weather tight just before heavy snowfall. During the darkest days of winter I carved out wooden rain gutters. Then moved on downstairs with the big work: digging out the floor, building foundation walls, digging trenches for drainage, sewage and plumbing. In summer I poured a floor, completely rebuild the small side room, replaced a lintel, fixed the holes and cracks and pointed the inside walls.

WHY I’M LEAVING CALIFORNIA to build a 50-Acre TINY HOUSE VILLAGE

I’m leaving California. No, not forever. But for the next 6 months. Why? Because I just bought a home in Gatlinburg, TN that’s on 50 acres of raw land and I’m going to develop it into a tiny house village. Now, let me be clear: When I say a tiny home village, I really mean a small community of tiny places, unique space and everything in-between. Because I have so much land to play with, I feel like my options are endless. The beautiful thing is that my 50-acre parcel is zoned to allow one unit per 2 acres. Meaning I can build up to 25 dwellings on my property. I’m hoping to have a little bit of everything on the land like an airstream, tiny home, a-frame, container home and a refurbished tank (kidding, but wouldn’t that be awesome). I'll also be documenting the process of how I plan to permit a tiny house community.
I don’t really know how I’m going to pay for all of this yet, but I have some ideas. I don’t really know how I’m going to pull this off yet, but I’ve got a mini-plan. See here’s the thing: When it comes to real estate, you’re never going to solve for everything you need to solve for until you actually START THE PROCESS. I did a lot of research on this project, but at the end of the day, the real research will be out in the field actually doing the dang thing.
So follow along and fail with me, succeed with me and let’s do this together. I’m scared. I’m excited. And I’m exactly where I need to be because of all of y’all’s support.

Welcome to this off-grid tiny A-Frame cabin that boasts some of the most incredible mountain views I've ever seen from an Airbnb! Located 30 minutes outside of Quebec City, Canada, this is a solar-powered cabin with hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and other outdoor activities right outside your front door.
The interior is fully equipped and can sleep up to 4 guests with a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a wood stove. The living room is my favorite space and feels super cozy when you have a fire going.
