We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Budapest, Hungary on May 2022.
The capital city of Hungary, Budapest, was created through the unification of the separate historic towns of Buda, Pest and Óbuda in 1873. The Danube River, a source of inspiration for many artists, divided Buda and Pest. In this tour we explore Pest on the east bank of the Danube River.
Pest is the younger part of the capital and it was the fastest growing city in the last decade of the 19th century.
Our guided walking tour is about 6.2 miles (10 km) long, starts at Hungarian Parliament and covers most attractions and historic sites of Budapest.

Budapest is the capital and most populous city of Hungary. It is the ninth-largest city in the European Union and the second-largest city on the Danube river; the city has an estimated population of 1.8 million.
The history of Budapest began when an early Celtic settlement transformed into the Roman town of Aquincum, the capital of Lower Pannonia. The Hungarians arrived in the territory in the late 9th century. The construction of Buda Castle began in 1243 and the city became the Hungarian capital.
Buda was one of the centers of Renaissance culture by the 15th century. The Battle of Mohács in 1526, was followed by nearly 150 years of Ottoman rule. After the reconquest of Buda in 1686, the region entered a new age of prosperity.
In 1873 Buda and Pest were united, and Budapest became the co-capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city was the focal point of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, the Battle of Budapest in 1945, as well as the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
Budapest is a global city with strengths in commerce, finance, art, research, technology, education, tourism and entertainment.

This is walking tour in Budapet, Hungary from the Opera House to St. Stephen's Basilica. The renovation at the Opera House finished in March of 2022. It looked impressive before but now even more so. I will also go inside to show the entrance section before going to one of my favorite streets in Budapest, Lazar Utca. Here you have a view of the Basilica in between the street. Finally ending at the St. Stephen's Basilica Square.
