In this video I take you on an adventure through the natural paradise of Tobago. The island is part of the country of Trinidad and Tobago, named after the two islands. Trinidad is busy, industrial, built-up and even a bit dangerous due to the amount of crime. Tobago, on the other hand, is an oasis of peace, where people still mainly live from fishing and now a small amount of tourism. The country is one big natural paradise. In this video I show you why Tobago is a surprisingly beautiful and unique destination, which is wrongly not often mentioned on lists of beautiful Caribbean islands. It is simply even more unknown and therefore so untouched and pure.
I visit Tobago with my wife and three year old son, on an island hopping adventure like no other through the Caribbean. This year we picked up the route in Martinique and from there we took the boat to Saint Lucia. From there we flew a small plane over the azure waters to Tobago. We sleep in a tree house between the jungle and the beach, see local fishermen at work and enjoy all the plants and animals all around us. From Castara we cross the rainforest to Argyle Falls, the most beautiful waterfall. We also visit Crown Point and Pigeon Point to the west and the most beautiful pristine beach at Englishman's Bay.
This year we are traveling all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique and Saint Lucia, Tobago is our sixth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Caribbean and then to many more beautiful destinations! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination. It has the most beautiful nature and is the absolute highlight in the middle of the Caribbean. There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.

There is just so much to do – so many treasures to uncover - as you soak up the warmth and enjoy the comforts of our beautiful island. Land lubbers and sea farers alike can have their pick of surf and turf activities appropriate for all ages and stages of calm or daredevil delight! Singles, lovers, friends and families also have rich and plentiful options to choose from. Whether you want to swim or sunbathe, party and play hard or enjoy art, culture and cuisine at its best, it's right here waiting for you.
Barbados sits in the Lesser Antilles and is the most eastern of all the Caribbean islands. This small coral island is just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide, with crashing Atlantic waves on the east coast and the calmer waters of the Caribbean Sea on the west coast. Our best time to visit guide can help you decide when to travel to Barbados.
West & south coasts
Most of the hotels are scattered along the west and south coasts as the rugged east and north shores are pounded by crashing waves. The chic west coast attracts royals, film stars and the world’s leading sports stars to its upscale resorts and swanky restaurants. In Holetown you’ll find calm beaches, the colourful Chattel Village – great for shopping, and some of the island’s top attractions, including Harrison’s Cave and Hunte’s Gardens, nearby.
The lively south coast offers a different experience and is a great spot for family holidays or a holiday with a group of friends. The restaurants, bars, rum shacks and nightclubs of St Lawrence Gap and Oistins, with its famous 'Fish Friday', are the perfect remedy for those seeking more than lazy days on the beach. Thrill-seekers and watersports lovers also flock to the south coast, and in particular Long Beach, Silver Rock and Silver Sands which are regarded as the island’s top wind- and kite-surfing spots.
East coast
Along the ruggedly beautiful east coast, small fleets of fishing boats brave the large swells that roll in straight off the vast Atlantic, while daring surfers ride the rolling waves. A drive along the dramatic coastal road, with stops at the coral boulder studded beach of Bathsheba and the surfing mecca of the ‘Soup Bowl’ en route, is a highlight of any trip to Barbados.
Shopping
Barbados is a duty-free shopping paradise where you can browse for designer fashion brands and jewellery, plus local handicrafts at the markets and artwork at the galleries that dot the island.You can find some great bargains in the capital, Bridgetown, on the south coast while on the west in Holetown you’ll find designer brands such as Gucci and Ralph Lauren at the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre.
Diving & snorkelling
Carlisle Bay, off the coast of Bridgetown, is one of the best spots to discover some of Barbados’ ship wrecks – of which there is believed to be 200! Friars Crag is a Dutch freighter with a magnificent reef nearby so there is plenty to explore. The Pamir, which lies of the north coast, has depths of 60 feet so it’s ideal for beginners while Stavronikita, a 365-foot Greek freighter off the west coast, lies at depths of 120 feet so it’s better suited to experienced divers. Snorkelling with sea turtles is a must-do experience in Barbados and a number of hotels offer boat trips.
Food & drink
Bajan cuisine centres around fish and seafood – including lobster, shrimp and red snapper – and Barbadians also eat a lot of the island’s delicious fresh fruit – if they can pick it from the trees before the monkeys get there. Speciality dishes include ‘pepperpot’, a pork and beef stew, and flying fish, lightly fried and served with lime wedges and tartar sauce. Food and parties go hand in hand in Barbados and a festival or street party is a great way to experience the island’s tasty cuisine and warm spirit. At the annual Food & Rum Festival you can meet renowned chefs and rum experts, let your hair down at a late-night party, taste delicious delicacies and see local artists in action.
Getting around
As Barbados is a small island, all of the hotels are within easy reach of the airport – generally between 15 minutes and an hour. Taxis are a great way to get around and Barbados’ bus network offers great value and an easy way to explore the island. If you really want a taste of local life then the ‘reggae buses’ – yellow buses that whiz around the island pumping out loud dancehall music – are great fun and very cheap.

Far North Queensland
Up north the weather is fine, you’re surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage icons, and tropical weather means tropical produce. Use Cairns as your base to explore Far North Queensland, which is situated right next to the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef. Whether you’re a hardcore scuba diver, novice snorkeller or want to see the GBR via a fancy glass-bottomed boat, there are multiple ways to explore it. Don’t miss a trip to the Daintree Rainforest, either; this verdant paradise features movie-cool waterfalls, clear blue lakes, sunlight shimmering through the trees, tropical vegetation and exotic wildlife.
Melbourne
All the stereotypes about Melbourne are true: everyone wears black, everyone is coffee obsessed, and there are far too many rooftop bars for a city with such temperamental weather. But the best thing about Melbourne is that it’s full of secrets to discover.
Uluru
You can fly directly there from Sydney, Darwin or Cairns, with the airport located only a few kilometres north of Uluru itself. When you get a glimpse of it IRL, it’s easy to understand how Uluru became such an important symbol of local Indigenous culture and Australian culture as a whole. Walking around the base and admiring it from afar, as you observe the different colours it turns as the sunlight hits it, is still a humbling experience.
Sapphire Coast
Located nearly 500 kilometres from central Sydney on New South Wales’ south-eastern border, this quiet corner of the state on the edge of Green Cape is something of a hidden gem, off the radar of mass tourism. In part, this is because it’s not the easiest place to reach; only the minute regional airport at Merimbula offers a faster alternative to driving here. However, if you’re willing to go those extra miles, unspoiled nature is your reward along this ruggedly beautiful stretch of sea from Bermagui to Disaster Bay, a place of other-worldly crimson cliffs, dramatic waves and vibrant, shifting landscapes.
Sydney
Everyone knows Sydney packs a punch when it comes to spectacular views and thrilling activities. She’s a rather pretty city too, with architecturally beautiful buildings – including two of the most iconic structures in the world, the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge – and sparkling harbours interrupted only by island sanctuaries.
Tasmania
It’s easy to understand the allure of Australia’s southernmost state. For one thing, 40 per cent of Tasmania is reserved as national parks and world heritage wilderness. Drive 20 minutes outside the state’s major cities (Hobart and Launceston) and you can walk in the bush, bike down a spectacular mountain trail or lounge on the beach.
Whitsundays
Australia’s got its very own paradise ready and waiting in the Whitsundays. This collection of 74 islands is located right next to the northeast coast of Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef. Most of the islands are uninhabited, and you’ve probably seen secluded, long white stretches of beach and gorgeous landmarks like Heart Reef on your Instagram feed.
Great Ocean Road
Justifiably one of Victoria’s most popular tourist destinations, the Great Ocean Road snakes all along the southwest coast of the state, starting in Torquay (1.5 hours from Melbourne) and finishing just before Warrnambool. This winding stretch of road is about a four-hour drive without stops, but heed our warning: you’ll definitely want to stop. There’s too much happening along the coast not to, including ample swimming and surfing spots, upmarket dining options (Captain Moonlite), adventure playgrounds (Live Wire Action Park), gorgeous waterfalls (Beauchamp Falls), picturesque limestone stacks (the Twelve Apostles) and plenty of spots to stop and eat some fish and chips on the beach.
