Just got back from our latest trip to Norfolk. Hired Star Gem this time 2 berth which has had an upgrade to 240v and an electric flush toilet
The living area sofas have been removed in favour of 2 armchairs which seemed a nice touch until I tried sleeping in the “4 Poster Bed”
I’m 6 feet and I just couldn’t lay flat at all it was a bit of a nightmare tbh and with the sofas being removed it didn’t give me the option of using them to get a good nights sleep

Take a look inside one of London, and the world's most luxurious hotels, The Rosewood Hotel in London.
We stayed in one of London's most luxurious 5 star hotels - The Rosewood London - for my birthday last month. As a London event manager I have seen most of the city's top hotels, but the Rosewood has always stood out to me as my favourite because of it's perfect mix of grandeur and modernity. So when my boyfriend surprised me with a stay here I had to film it all!
Situated in Holborn, this 5 star hotel is in easy reach of London's best areas such as Covent Garden, embankment, Oxford Circus, Soho and Fitzrovia.
It has a grand entrance, through a carriageway from the street front and into a peaceful inner courtyard. The interior is equally as grand, you walk through a beautiful rose bronze gallery into the black and white marble lobby.
The Rosewood London suite we were in was a Grand Premiere King, it was so spacious compared to other London hotels. The mirrored bathroom was the most impressive feature of the room with a marbled deep plunge bath and separate marble shower.
We loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

This short boat review from TheBroads.TV features the Sovereign Light a 4 + 2 birth, 44ft cruiser from Herbert Woods Elite Range. This boat which was built on site in Potter Heigham in the Norfolk Broads and launched in April 2013 features dual steering positions with bow and stern thrusters.
The Sovereign Light is a step up in comfort and comparative luxury where Broads boats are concerned and the upper deck is beautifully laid out with a table that comfortably seats 4, along with 2 sun bathing platforms and the upper steering position.

Samsung just dropped the Note 20 and the Note 20 Ultra, my favorite series from Samsung Mobile - I’ve been a Note user for many many years and always love reviewing the new models. So in today’s video, let’s go check out both the models and do a side by side comparison of the best features and specs plus initial impressions!
Two versions of the Note Series this time: Regular and Ultra.
The Note 20 Ultra comes in 3 unique and truly eye catching colors - Mystic Bronze, Mystic White and Mystic Black. Mystic bronze has a matte finish whereas Mystic White and Mystic Black are glossy.
The Note 20 Regular model comes in Mystic Green, Mystic Bronze and Mystic Grey - all with matte finish.
Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are the first phones ever to be made with Corning’s newest glass, Victus - which is supposed to me much more drop and scratch resistant than previous models. The Note 20 Ultra has a super fast 120 Hertz refresh rate, similar to the S20 Ultra, which means super fast and super smooth. During my initial use of the phones, it felt super satisfying and fast to use. The Note 20 regular model has a 60 Hertz refresh rate.
The Note 20 has a 6.7” screen whereas the Note 20 Ultra is larger with a 6.9” screen. When using the Note 20 Ultra, I had no problems using it with one hand.
One more interesting thing about the screens is that Note 20 has a flat screen and the Note 20 Ultra has an edge screen. Personally, I still prefer flat screens over edged ones, but, that purely depends on your preference.
Front cameras on both Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are the same. The rear camera are different for both.
The Note 20 has a 12mp ultra wide angle camera, 12mp wide angle camera and a 64mp Telephoto camera. Note 20 has 3x optical zoom and 30X Super Zoom.
The Note 20 Ultra has a 12MP Ultra Wide Camera, a 108mp wide angle camera, 12mp telephoto camera and a laser autofocus detection as well. Also, the sensor size on the Note 20 Ultra is larger, which means better low light images and sharper pictures. Note 20 Ultra has 5x optical zoom and 50X Super Zoom.
Both devices can shoot 8K super crisp videos.
And that, is the main difference between the cameras of both devices. However, when using them in daily life, both cameras seem exceptionally good and probably the best shooters on an Android device in 2020.
Of course, the main selling point of the Note series is the S Pen - which is now new and improved to compete directly (if not better) with the Apple pencil. It is fast, super responsive and definitely something I used a lot when I owned a Note device. The new S Pen has a latency of 9milliseconds which means, when you use it , it feels like using an actual pen.
Both Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are available in 5G and 4G variants.
Performance
The Note 20 comes with 8GB ram and multiple storage options. The Note 20 Ultra comes with 12GB Ram for the 5G models and 8gb ram for the 4G models with different storage options PLUS a MMC slot.
Both devices are running Android 10 with Samsung’s own UI.
Both devices have the Snapdragon 865+ Snapdragon 865 Plus
which means it is a super performance beast !

Norfolk Broads - Bronze Gem -Day 1
In this Captain's Blog I screw up a stern mooring. Twice.
Filmed in April 2017 following a short break holiday on the Norfolk Broads onboard Bronze Gem 2.
We cruise from the boatyard at Stalham to Malthouse Broad and I perform the worst stern mooring at Ranworth Staithe - ever.
Bronze Gem was hired from Richardson's Boating Holidays in Stalham she represents great value for money.

And so the final day and an end to this series featuring Bronze Gem where Shiela goes solo and manages to turn the boat at the end of navigation at Coltishall lock.

Cruising from Malthouse Broad to Wroxham where I attempt to defy the rules and take the boat through the bridge without the use of a pilot, get seen and boarded by the Pilot and given a telling off. Then it is on to meet Shiela, and take a slow cruise to Colitishall.

ANTIGUA 2 - Boat Review, Norfolk Broads
The production of this video is on no way related to Richardsons and the opinions expressed are solely my own.
My review of Antigua 2, an Aquafibre Entrepreneur 38 on hire from Richardsons Boating Holidays of Stalham (Norfolk Broads). Antigua 2 is one of two in the class and is a seven-berth sliding canopy cruiser. She is nearly identical to Highland Gem (also from Richardsons) and is the same type of boat as San Lucia (Richardsons) and Tobago Light (from Herbert Woods). At the time of review, a short break aboard Antigua in late October was £595 including damage waiver and £75 fuel deposit.
Some context: we hired this boat over the October half term school holidays. The weather was wet on most days but we still had a lovely holiday. We cruised from Stalham to Geldeston (South of Beccles) - just about as far as you could travel. Our fuel bill was £91.

Superior Gem on the Norfolk Broads

Having booked my holiday on the Norfolk Broads on the Superior Gem out of Richardsons boatyard at Stalham, I couldn't find anywhere a video of its interior......so here it is. Its actually the Superior Gem 2 and this was taken Easter 2017. Theses boats are not the luxurious expensive types so you pay for what you get, but if its a family adventure your after or a group holiday that's relatively inexpensive yet thoroughly enjoyable then you can do far worse than book one of these.
There is a 240 volt system on board through an inverter supplying two sockets. You ladies need to leave your hair dryers at home and your hair straighteners.....hair dryer that works on the system is available free (as I write) from the boatyard. However, you can charge you phones/ipads/laptops etc.
There is a wifi expander on the boat but its on EE. Unless you moor up in a main town forget it....EE is about as much good as a chocolate teaspoon in Norfolk so expect coverage to be very poor.
But enough of the negatives; on an upbeat note the boat is roomy as boats go, handles really well and turns on a sixpence once you really master the controls, and that's without any bow thrusters as most modern boats have. If its fun on the water your after then the Superior Gem is the boat for you.
Highly recommended is the Waveney River Centre on the southern broads...great swimming pool. Pay the pilot charge and cruise through Wroxham Bridge and up to Coltishall near the Rising Sun but order an Indian Take Away from the little shop in the village.....they deliver to the boat and one of the best curries I've ever had. And do get an ice cream from the little ice cream boat that plies its trade near Salhouse Broad. But most importantly, enjoy your holiday. I did with my family including my 1 year old, my 5 year old and my three other children and my wife and our friends......9 in total on the boat :)
