British Airways A380 transformed with breath-taking 4D projection
On 29 October 2014 British Airways' first A380 flight landed in Singapore. To celebrate the launch of this flagship aircraft to Singapore we used some of the world’s most precise 4D projection technology to create a visually breath-taking video of the aircraft's journey.
The video, which was shot in a studio environment, harnesses the magic of 4D projection. Seven high powered projectors have been used to map a world of stunning effects on and around a 1:20 size scale model of an Airbus A380. Tracking the journey to Singapore, the video depicts beautiful scenes including ‘the canvas above the clouds’ scene which uses dry ice to recreate the serenity and beauty of flight.

On 3 February 2014 four amateur athletes vied to emulate Springboks and Toulon Rugby player Bryan Habana's sprint against a British Airways' A380.
Last year, Bryan raced against our A380 and won. This prompted us to launch a competition to find people who would take up the challenge to pit their speed against our largest and most modern aircraft.
The runners from the UK, France, Israel and South Africa each took their turn to race the plane over 200m on a taxiway parallel to the runway.
Although no one could beat the A380, 23 year old Rudolph Raath from Cape Town took the crown to become the fastest runner on the day, with a time of 23.8 seconds. Rudolph won two Club World return tickets on one of British Airways' A380 direct flights to London.

British Airways sets two world records at the Gig In The Sky for Comic Relief
British Airways set two Guinness World Record titles on 10 March including the 'Highest Harlem Shake' and 'Highest Concert' in the sky, with Tony Hadley and Kim Wilde performing their hits on a red-nosed Boeing 767 aircraft at 43,000ft for Comic Relief.
Celebrating 25 years of Red Nose Day, we have raised over £4.5 million for Flying Start -- our charity partnership with Comic Relief.
Fronted by Shane Richie, 128 lucky passengers were treated to exclusive performances from Bananarama and Go West on the ground, and Tony Hadley and Kim Wilde in the air. Passengers also danced their way into the Guinness World Record books by performing the highest 'Harlem Shuffle' dance.

Imagine Dragons 2013 smash hit single On Top of the World is featured in British Airways latest A380 video and covered by South African multi-award winning Afro-fusion band, Freshlyground.
The video features South African Springbok rugby captain Jean de Villiers and his team mates, Schalk Burger and Eben Etzebeth. British Airways new A380 super-jumbo is seen flying over Cape Town, one of the world's most popular and best loved long haul destinations. The special British Airways flight takes us over Cape Town's iconic Table Mountain, Boulders Beach and the world famous winelands.
British Airways' began its A380 direct service to Johannesburg in February 2014, the third destination to have the world's largest commercial passenger aircraft, after Los Angeles and Hong Kong. British Airways has also increased its schedule to Cape Town this winter, and flies 10 times a week.
Street Action, an organisation dedicated to ensuring children aren't forced to live on the streets, is hoping that the latest video will prove at least as popular. For every 100 000 views it generates, British Airways will donate a ticket. Streetwise works with organisations in Burundi, Kenya and South Africa, including Umthombo Street Children in Durban, which is known for engaging children through its pioneering surfing programme.
