British Airways World Traveller, A350-1000 - Business Traveller

British Airways World Traveller, A350-1000 - Business Traveller. A tour of the British Airways World Traveller, A350-1000 with Tom Otley, editor of Business Traveller Magazine.
For more details:

- [Tom] So this is the smaller cabin of the two economy cabins, and it's got seats 35 to 30. So the configuration is three, three, three, in economy, and you've got A, B, C, the one's you're looking at there, then three in the middle, D, E, F, and then you've got H, J, K for the window seats. So row 31 is the one you want in economy. It's a smaller cabin, the smaller of the two cabins. See the larger cabin is just down there. And the seats you want really are the bulkhead seats, it's row 30. And really row 30, it's got to be seats J and K or A and B. But there's also the interesting seat here, 31 C, because of course there's no seat in front of it, so 31 C is a great seat as well, as is 31 H. So this smaller cabin, rows 30 to 35, is the one you want to go for, and either the two bulkhead seats there, 30 J and K and A and B, or that one seat on either side, 31 H and 31 C. And in the front row, of course, the IFE screens come out of the arms of the seats. So these are the washrooms at the rear of the front economy cabin, and at the front of the rear economy cabin. So, they're between the economy cabins, so they are the ones that would be used by the whole economy cabin. They're gonna get some heavy use and if you're sat in this smaller economy cabin at the front in row 35, the rear row, you're gonna get disturbed by the flushing of those toilets. And, you know, weirdly enough, on the A350 which is a quiet aircraft, you can hear toilets all the more clearly. So the back row is row 59, and actually just because of the tapering of the aircraft, there's two seats there and three in the middle. At the back of the aircraft in row 59, actually got this area that I guess you could use for storage because you've only got C and B. Seat 59 A is missing. The final row on the right-hand side of the aircraft, 58, is H, J, K. You'll see here on the screen it says 'Euro Traveler'. That's because it's being used as short-haul. This is in fact World Traveler, so don't get confused by that one, but you can see there's WiFi on board and instructions how to connect. The economy seats, they don't have any footrest and there's no leg rest beneath the seat, but you do have somewhere to store magazines or personal items there underneath the IFE screen which is touchscreen. And you've got a seat recline button in the armrest of each seat. Each seat also has individual power, but note the individual power is two for each three seats. Then here you can see the seat tray table when it's extended. It does move forward and backwards.

It is well documented that British Airways has one of the very worst business class seats flying in the sky today. So it was with great anticipation that a few months ago they finally, after almost 20 years, released a brand new business class seat....or in BA Speak...Club World Suite.

So how good is the new British Airways Business Class? Does it bring BA back into the game or are they still in the lower leagues? Watch this video to find out as I fly from London Heathrow to Toronto Canada on a brand new British Airways Airbus A350-1000 in the new BA Club Suite.

If you need reminding of just how bad the old BA business class product is here's the link to my previous video:

Welcome to iTripReport's flight reviews, which I focus on reviewing both the soft product and hard product of airlines around the globe. I strive to give you guys a first person perspective of different aspects of the flight. Including the ground service, onboard service, and those views that come with the flight. As you can see, I record quite a lot of the experience to make sure I record what you want to watch. As always, thank you so much for watching.

British Airways A350 Showcase Video

Following our successful visualisation and marketing work with British Airways around the arrival of their new Airbus A350-1000, Neutral Digital was commissioned to create the spectacular accompanying animations made public on the day of the aircraft’s arrival at their Heathrow hub.

We worked to bring out the glory and splendour of the A350-1000 by placing it in various skyscapes evoking the same emotions of comfort, smoothness and luxury that the onboard experience promises to be.

British Airways World Traveller Plus, A350-1000 - Business Traveller

Tom Otley, editor Business Traveller Magazine UK, reviews the best premium economy seats on British Airways A350-1000. British Airways World Traveller Plus, A350-1000 invited Business Traveller Magazine UK onboard to review the 56 World Traveller Plus seats.
- [Narrator] This is the World Traveller Plus Premium Economy Cabin. This is the front row of World Traveller Plus Premium Economy, seats 20 A and B and row 20, although it's staggered, goes right the way across the front of this cabin in a two, four, two configuration, so you've got A, B and then D, E, F, G and it's J, K over there. And in Premium Economy, it's seven rows, both in the window seats and in the middle seats. It's a two, four, two configuration. You can see with these seats, you've got the IFE coming out of the arm, whereas with all the other seats, as you'd expect, they're in the seat-back screens. So this is the Premium Economy Cabin, the World Traveller Plus Cabin, viewed from the rear, which is the back row, row 26. Row 26 is a good one in the sense of you can recline without bothering anyone and you can see where that area is, but of course, if you can see where the curtain is, it also means that you may potentially be disturbed by Economy passengers, particularly since, with these being bulkhead seats, it's where the bassinet will go for children. That's that bit there. So if you imagine that potentially could have a cot in it and if you were in the last row, row 26 of World Traveller Plus, that might well bother you. So, you know, it's a good row to have and not everyone can be in the front row. Personally, for World Traveller Plus, I tend to go for the middle-of-the-cabin window seats. We'll talk about the differences between Economy and Premium Economy, as in whether it's worth paying the extra. It really comes down to the seats and the room that you get in it and you can see here that these World Traveller Plus seats have got both a foot rest and they've got a leg rest, so while the seat reclines, which is great and you've got more room in the seat, because there would be three Economy seats there instead of two, you've also got that extra comfort for your legs.

MailOnline pilots a VERY realistic BA Airbus A350 simulator

EXCLUSIVE: MailOnline Travel's Ted Thornhill gets a British Airways A350 airborne - and lands it again - in a full-motion multi-million-pound simulator at British Airways' Flight Training Centre near Heathrow. The simulator is so realistic that it's 'Zero Flight Time' approved, which means an experienced pilot can go straight from qualifying in a simulator to flying a real aircraft carrying customers. The simulator is so realistic that Ted finds himself altogether rather tense throughout the entire experience... Pictured: Ted about to take off (top right), a real A350 (top right), Ted's BA trainers for his session (bottom right), Ted cruising over London (bottom left) and the exterior of the simulator (inset).
