Arriving to BOQUETE PANAMA 2022 (our first impressions!)
We finally made it to Boquete, Panama! Come with us as we give you our first impressions walking around the town and soaking in the views.
Spoiler: WE LOVE IT HERE. Boquete, Panama is a town is small mountain town located in the westernmost Province of Chiriquí, about 60 kilometres (37 mi) from the border with Costa Rica. It lies on the Caldera River, in Panama's green mountain highlands with an elevation of 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) above sea level, making it a cooler climate than that of the lowlands. Its scenic location, temperature, and natural environment make it popular with Panamanians and attracts tourists and retirees from all over the world. What we knew about Boquete before arriving was that it was a super popular spot for expat retirees, there was amazing coffee, and gorgeous flowers. We don't know what exactly what we were expecting but so far Boquete has exceeded our expectations. Stay tuned for upcoming Boquete videos where we go on a coffee farm tour, go hiking, and eventually make our way to our next Panama destination. We hope you enjoy this vlog!

Hola a todos! Los llevo a que me acompañen en mis vacaciones en Chiriquí, haciendo un poco de Turismo Panamá. Un road trip paseando por David, Boquete, Volcán y Cerro Punta, conociendo diferentes lugares, probando deliciosa comida. Fue una aventura de 5 días, nos hospedamos en diferentes hoteles/hostales para conocer más, nos quedamos en: Hotel casa grande bambito, Bambuda Castle y Hostal Boquete. Hicimos un tour de puentes colgantes con Boquete Tree Trek, donde hicimos un circuito de 6 puentes colgantes de 4.5 kilómetros de recorrido , un sendero espectacular, lleno de mucha flora y fauna, la joven guía tenía mucho conocimiento. Celebramos nuestro aniversario con este viaje.
Entre los lugares que visitamos: El faro, Boquete Tree Trek, Tre Scalini, Boquete Brewing Company, Food truck Musk, Mirador fresas Elisa, The perfect pair, Cafe Unido...

Boquete Panama Travel Guide | Top Things To See And Do | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
Welcome to Boquete, a small, charming mountain town in Panama!
It is hidden on 1,200 meters above the sea level, in green mountain highlands, only 40 miles from the border between Panama and Costa Rica, on the Caldera River. Pleasant climate, scenic landscape, and natural environment make Boquete a popular tourist and retirement destination. Some people say it resembles a Swiss Alpine village, only located in South America.
As Panamians love to party, you can expect to enjoy monthly fiestas and music events whenever you come here.
We stayed at Los Molinos and had a fantastic time. We went on the most amazing hike down a trail that lead to a beautiful waterfall and experienced first hand the powerful flow of the river below.
We also met the most amazing people and were even invited to spend the night at one of their homes/farms.

Two boats, one taxi, and two buses, gets us from Bocas Del Toro to Boquete in this travel day episode. Once we get to the beautiful mountain town of Boquete, we take you along our first day in what was soon to become our favorite town in all of Panama. Taking A BUS from Panama City to Boquete (our longest bus ride yet)
In this video we take on the trek to Boquete, Panama from Panama City by BUS. Come join us in this wild adventure as we figure out exactly how much we pay, how much we enjoyed the ride, and did we make it?!
We started off at a new Airbnb in Panama City. We did have to fly home due to a family emergency. But we came back to Panama City before heading to Boquete. After saying goodbye to the greatest pups on the planet, we made our way to Albrook bus station to buy our tickets and eat some breakfast, which was a loaf of vanilla bread and some pringles LOL. After dozens of gracious Panamanians helping us find the right terminal, and giving us 20 cents to get through the machines, we finally got to our bus on time!
The bus ride wasn't that intense. They had 4 movies playing in the background, and we had some decent seats right at the front. It was one of the longest journeys we've taken considering the bus took 8 HOURS. We were told it would be 6 at the most but it was 8. After arriving in Boquete we had some trouble finding our Airbnb but wow is this place beautiful. You'll definitely see it in the next vlog :)

In 2019, we achieved our goal of visiting every state in the union in our Airstream. We also visited every national park in the lower 48. We are big believers in lists, so of course we plan to see the remaining 12 parks in the next few years.
In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a suitcase and a small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.

I arrived at Boquete's Central Park on Avenida Central the previous evening by shuttle bus. After walking a few miles to my AirBnB apartment, I got some much needed rest. I wanted to make the most out of the next day, getting acquainted with the town I'd be spending the next week-plus, looking for things to do in Boquete and looking for places to eat in Boquete, like Cafe Malu, La Terazza Restaurante, The Perfect Pair, Boquete Brewing Company, Pizza Saved My Life, Restaurante Panda, - there are so many choices it is ridiculous... and awesome. Need coffee? Try Unido Coffee Roasters Panama or maybe for your coffee maker at home try Cafe Duran k cups. Need to open a bank account? Try MultiBank. I liked meeting expats in Boquete Panama. I also live Panama street art. I enjoy seeing artists express themselves in a public display for people like me to enjoy daily. I hope you enjoy my Boquete Walking Tour of Panamas Garden City.
