This video was recorded with the sony hdr-as50 in full HD (1080). The dive sites we dove that day are; Salt pier, Atlantis and Vista Blue. It was a sunny day with a lot of fun underwater with a hawksbill turtle and a huge yellow/green muray! Enjoy!

Snorkeling BONAIRE Salt Pier
Snorkeling the Salt Pier in Bonaire. This is mostly a scuba diving spot since most of the coral is deep but we had a good time snorkeling it too. Video taken in September 2018.

New GoPro Clone EKEN video Best Caribbean SCUBA Diving Typical of Aruba Bonaire Curacao Grand Cayman
I don't think a new GoPro HERO 9 or 10 or 11 is worth it yet. This was filmed with a EKEN H9s. It was good enough, and if the housing leaks, it's only a low cost camera.

These scenes are typical of Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Cuba and other Caribbean Islands. The Video was recorded with an EKEN H9s in 4K, which is a very very low cost GoPro clone. I believe I paid about $40.00 USA. Yes just forty dollars for the camera and housing. EKEN now has newer models like H6s Plus, but I haven't tried them. I also used a generic amazon RED filter. The red filter was $12. I had two underwater Video lights from Underwater Kinetics. UK Aqualite Pro 100 eLED with a maximum of 1200 LUMENS. The lights were the most expensive part.
I don't get any funds from EKEN, it was just a generic camera I decided to try. Maybe some day I will upgrade to a GoPro or something else.
Every minute of every dive is not filled with manta rays, moray eels, and sharks. These videos are presented to you, to give a real-time view of what SCUBA diving can be like. Yes there are moments where you find a turtle sleeping or eating. Or cuttlefish that want to see what you are doing. Most of the time it is just a peaceful and relaxing dive. If you take your time, maintain good buoyancy, the interesting fish and action will occur all around you. If you are thrashing and racing about you will scare all the interesting sea life away. Thrashing and racing also frequently damage the reef by inadvertently hitting coral or sponges with your fins or other gear. Maintain good buoyancy, move slowly and enjoy the ocean view unfolding in front of you. Safe diving everyone!

This trip to Bonaire was incredible and way too short. Bonaire was by far our favorite island in the southern Caribbean. The undeveloped charm, friendly locals and crystal clear waters teaming with life are irresistible. We stopped on a Bonaire for a day during a cruise on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas and both agreed we will be back to this Caribbean paradise. The people of Bonaire were welcoming and genuinely friendly at every step and the sell at all costs attitude present in many cruise ports was not present in Bonaire. As soon as we got off the ship, we stopped by what we thought was a timeshare stand for a map but it was actually just a service provided by Bonaire to give information and maps without trying to sell us anything. Amazing! Using the information from the stand, we walked to a free beach to snorkel and swim in some of the most crystalline water we've ever seen. The sea life in Bonaire is second to none with such a wide variety of species right close to the shore, it's clear that Bonaire's aquatic conservation and preservation efforts have paid off. Don't miss this incredible little slice of heaven nestled in the southern Caribbean.

BONAIRE - Angel City w/GoPro Hero4 Black
Without a doubt, Angel City was my NUMBER ONE Dive site on Bonaire! Rolling hills of huge, lush, healthy coral heads and too many fish to count!
We descended at the buoy and headed out to the second reef. We continued South on the double reef until we hit Alice in Wonderland, then headed back.
We ended up doing this dive twice because it was so spectacular! This was shot with my GoPro Hero 4 Black, in 4k and a Flip 3.1 Backscatter and Dive Filter.
