GoPro: Bolivia 2017 (Part 1/2)
Part 1 of a few weeks backpacking around Bolivia, May 2017.

Travel Bolivia by Motorcycle and Drone | 4K
Bolivia in South America - Join me in a 4K Drone Video experience as I drive my Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle across the entire country for 2 months across the Uyuni salt flat during both the dry and wet season, the jungles up north near La Paz, Cochabamba, all the way south to the Altiplano.
This video is filmed entirely on a drone in 4K using my DJI mavic, and phantom as i crashed one and upgraded to another later on during the trip. All the drone footage was filmed by myself, while riding the motorcycle at the same time using one hand to fly the drone manually and the other to steer the motorcycle simultaneously. No I did not use any of the preset drone features or active tracking because the software and hardware simply can not keep up with the fast moving motorcycle or pan outs, zoom out and specific shots I wanted to capture on this journey. I was a one man film crew... in some shots, it took me 4 batteries to capture just those 4 seconds of perfect smooth footage you'll see... it was the most difficult drone video I've ever captured.

If there was one country that surprised us the most during our time in South America, it was BOLIVIA!
From the vibrant bustling city of La Paz, to the beautiful untouched landscapes in the Southwest of Bolivia, this video encapsulates the best and the most spectacular sights from our time in Bolivia.
Footage includes La Paz, Yungus Valley (aka. Death Road), Valley of the Moon, Train Graveyard in Uyuni, Salar de Uyuni (Bolivian Salt Flat), Desert of Chiguana, Siloli Desert, Dali Desert, Llama Valley, Red, White, and Green Lagoons, and Isla del Sol on Lake Titicaca.

Salt Flat Tour, Bolivia | DJI Mavic Pro + Sony A7R2 | 2017
Salar de Uyuni (Bolivian Salt Flat) has long been one of the highlights of any South American adventure. The world’s largest salt flat sits at some 3,600m above sea level and spans more than 10,500 square kilometers.
The easiest way to experience this part of Bolivia is on a tour that takes you across the Salar de Uyuni (Salt Flat) and onwards towards the Chilean border.
During our 3 days on this incredible tour, we traveled across deserts, stopped at beautiful lagoons, and explored vast valleys amazed at the beauty of the Bolivian Southwest region.

Visiting Lake Titicaca in Bolivia and Peru | DJI Mavic Pro | Sony A7RII | 2017
Located on the border between Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is the world’s highest navigable lake, with a surface elevation of over 3,800 m. It’s peaceful beauty and ancient cultural traditions make visiting the lake a highlight of any South American itinerary.
We spent a week exploring the area around Lake Titicaca on our recent trip to Bolivia and Peru and got a chance to visit 4 out of the 6 islands. We started in La Paz, made our way to Copacabana, the gateway to Isla del Sol, and then continued onwards to Puno, the getaway to Uros, Amanti and Taquile islands in Peru.

/// The Bolivian Salt Flats in Uyuni, Bolivia are one of the most beautiful and unique places we've ever been! They are the biggest in the world (10,000 square kilometers of salt!). We drove 70 miles in the middle of the flats and had a gourmet picnic, and then hiked on an island that has formed on top of the flats. We ended the day with a gorgeous sunset and settled in our salt hotel for the night!
