Boeing's latest generation #777X aircraft entered the skies over Qatar for the first time today, as the world’s largest twin-engine jet landed at Doha International Airport ahead of its anticipated introduction to the #QatarAirways fleet in the near future.
The aircraft delivers 20% lower fuel consumption and emissions than previous generation aircraft, and we welcomed it ahead of its official introduction in the near future.

Special Rescue Flight - Flying With 7 Lions on Qatar Airways B777
Last month, I followed the transportation of seven rescued lions from Ukraine to South Africa by Qatar Airways Cargo. These lions were rescued from captivity by NGO Warriors of Wildlife (WOW) in Ukraine. The long journey involved a three-day trip from Kiev to Doha and Johannesburg, so that the lions could walk on grass for the first time in their lives. All the Lions were in good health when I last saw them.
I documented the loading process of 7 lions into the Qatar Airways B777. A short interview to find out the history of these rescue lions, along with the challenges of transporting wild animals, was made during loading and onboard the flight.
After 4 hours 20 minutes, we arrived at Doha and the lions were being transported to a transit facility. During the transit, they were fed with food and water. Lionel de Lange from the NGO spoke about the challenge he went through to get them transported. Later, the 7 lions were boarded on another Qatar Airways A350-900 flight to Johannesburg. The 7 lions have since been released into a protected area after arriving in South Africa. They were transferred to a much larger nature reserve, where they will be protected and taken care of for the rest of their lives.
Transporting wild animals back to their natural environment for free is a promise made by Qatar Airways Cargo as part of their “Rewild the Planet” initiative, which is also a part of the airline’s WeQare sustainability programme.

Our epic journey today begins in the terminal building at Auckland International Airport. We make our way to the gate where our Boeing 777-200LR is waiting to carry us on the world's longest flight. We board the aircraft and take our seat in seat 19A. Once the aircraft is fully boarded we push back and taxi to runway 05 at Auckland, before making a long, heavy takeoff towards the east. We climb over Auckland before crossing the Tasman Sea, reaching the Australian coast overhead Sydney. We are treated to some magnificent views of the entire of Australia as we cross from coast to coast. From Sydney we head towards Broken Hill, Coober Pedy and across the beautiful red desert of Central Australia, passing to the south of Alice Springs. From there we cross Western Australia, before reaching the northwest coast near to Port Hedland. From here we chase a beautiful sunset across the Indian Ocean, crossing Sri Lanka and the southern tip of India in darkness, before a hop across the Arabian Sea to Oman. We then make a dogleg approach towards Qatar to avoid UAE airspace, getting a good view of the lights of Dubai from off the coast. We make a smooth approach and landing into Doha, landing ahead of schedule at 23:38 after a flight time of 17 hours, 6 minutes.

Exclusive: Inside The Experimental Boeing 777X
While at Dubai Airshow 2021 I visited the Boeing 777X. This is the first time Boeing has allowed visitors to get onboard the airplane! Let’s find out what the inside of the 777X is like?
It is an experimental airplane, with no fancy interiors but a lot of workstations, terminals and water barrel tanks. I spoke with Boeing’s test engineers, pilots and commercial staff on the 777X testing and certification program. Check out the cockpit, folding wingtip, engine and test instruments inside the aircraft. Boeing expects the B777X to complete certification in 2023.

Repatriation Flight! Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER Arriving + Departing | Toronto Pearson Int'l
Hello everyone! Welcome to this video!
We've got some more repatriation flights coming into Toronto due to the Coronavirus pandemic or COVID-19. Now this one from Qatar Airways and a Boeing 777-300ER sending it down from Doha to Miami but to a stopover in Toronto before returning to Doha as requested by the Qatari Government.
QTR7505 arrived in Toronto from Miami on RWY 24R at 1406hrs and taxied to Terminal 3 for the offload and on-load. The departure was delayed a few hours due to a fueling issue with the aircraft which left the flight to depart at 1706hrs instead the planned 1520hrs on RWY 23 as QTR7506 heading back fully loaded to Doha. Enjoy the video everyone!
