Helicoper lands in front of the Eihatsu Maru on Clifton 1st Beach
The Eihatsu Maru, a 50 metre long Japanese fishing trawler, ran aground on Clifton 1st Beach in front of some of Cape Town's most expensive real estate, on Saturday 12 May 2012. Here a helicopter lands on the beach in front of her, on the afternoon Sunday, 13 May. In the background a small tug waits, and the larger John Ross/Z-Tug is on standby off Sea Point for high tide and appropriate conditions to pull her free.
