The weather has been awesome and we've been having a great time in Chester! We rented a mooring at the marina of Oak Island Resort for some family fun. The rental included full use of the amenities, which was awesome. We didn't want to leave!

Our First Sail In Our Hunter 34! [ Ep 24- Sailing Nova Scotia ⛵]
Our friend Michael comes to visit to help us on our first sail in our Hunter 34! After spending the winter refitting the boat, and endless projects afterwards, we finally get to raise the sails! In this video, we head to Chester NS and experience a lot of what cruising has to offer in such a short trip: fog, sun, swells, seasickness, motor issues, laughter, and fun.

Sailing to an uninhabited island!- Wreck Cove [ Ep3 - Sailing Nova Scotia ]
Imagine rocking up to a perfect, uninhabited atoll in the middle of the Indian Ocean.....well, this is nothing like that. We nervously hoist the main sail and make our way to wreck cove, where many ships have run aground over the years. It's located on Mcnabs Island about a one hour sail from our mooring.

Accidental Overnight Sailing Trip! [ Ep 4- Sailing Nova Scotia ]
We sail to Bedford, NS which takes almost four hours! It was pretty tiring as we're just learning, so we decide to stay overnight tied up at the dock. Our first night sleeping on the boat! And with Lucy!

We sail to Herring cove on a busy day with lots of sailboats. We have a mishap while trying to dock and we take a tour on our friends new boat.

Pirates on the Waterfront & Dinghy Launch! [ Ep 37- Sailing Nova Scotia ⛵]
In this video, we hitch a ride on Lee's 40 ft Viking yacht for DYC's Poker Run pirate party. The weather wasn't the greatest but we had a fun time! We also take the RIB out for a spin, encounter some issues with the engine and try again. But the dinghy itself seems to work great. No issues there!

Sailing From Halifax to Chester- A dodger IS great! [ Ep 38- Sailing Nova Scotia ⛵]
We finish fixing and installing the dodger and set sail to Chester, NS. Our plans for a stopover at Rouges Roost change as we have engine issues, so we head into Sambro only for the wind to completely die on us. Nick to the rescue with a tow in! Chad installs a new belt and we continue on to Chester, where we plan to sail around the islands for the month of August.

Sailing Home To Halifax- Tall Ships 2017! [ Ep 25- Sailing Nova Scotia ⛵]
Chad fixes the shifter bracket that broke on the way back from Chester. We sail home from Sambro to Halifax, back to our old mooring in the Arm. We take O out to see the Tall Ships in the Harbour, go on a ferry ride to explore George's island, and board one of the visiting Tall Ships.

Three Day Sail- A Dodger Would Be Great![ Ep 28- Sailing Nova Scotia ⛵]
We go for a three day sail to get as much time on the boat before it gets colder! The summer is flying by and unfortunately we haven't been able to get out as much as we hoped. But it's all good, as we're learning, so next season we'll be able to spend more time on the water and travel much further!
