Rome, Italy ???????? - Summer Walk ☀️ - 4K-HDR Walking Tour ~5 Hours

????Subscribe to Tourister ➡️
My favorite city in the world is Rome. Why? Because it is the ideal marriage of history and modernity. It has it all: beautiful historical sites, incredible shops, and, of course, the best pizzas in the world.
So here's my take on Rome and why I love it so much:

1) The individuals

The hospitality in Italy is unrivaled. From the moment you meet, the Italians treat you like long-lost friends. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and responds to your complaints quickly. The best thing about Italians, however, is the way they speak. Their language sounds like a lovely song. It's so adorable that even if they were cursing at me, I wouldn't be able to guess.

2) The food

If you think you've had the best Italian food in your own country, you're mistaken, my friend. The best Italian food comes from the source...which in this case is Italy (well obviously). These Italian restaurants/cafés serve the most delectable ravioli, epic mouth-watering risottos, and to-die-for pizzas. If I could, I would return to Rome just for the food.
3) The historical importance

The history of Rome is divided into two parts. Medieval history and the Roman Empire Each era's architecture is divided into two distinct areas. The walk to the Colosseum is one of the most beautiful I've ever done. On either side of the path, there are ancient relics.

4) The Vatican

This mini-city alone would make a trip to Rome worthwhile. In the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican has some of the most beautiful frescoes ever created. Hundreds of tour guides are available just outside the Vatican to give you a tour of the church and museum. Just make sure you don't get taken advantage of!

5) Shopping

Although Milan is a major fashion capital, Rome is not far behind. The shopping here is fantastic, with everything from boutique brands to mainstream brands available. There is a four-story Zara store nearby (I spent around two hours there I think). After a long day of shopping, you can unwind in a nice spot, eating street-made square pizzas and watching the sun set over the city.

This video was recorded in September of 2021!

Rome is often referred to as the City of Seven Hills due to its geographic location and also the Eternal City. Vatican City (the smallest country in the world) is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city
Our guided walking tour is about 9.32 miles (15 km) long, starts at Porta del Popolo and covers most attractions and historic sites of Rome.

Rome, Italy ???????? - September 2021 - 4K-HDR Walking Tour (▶141min)

Rome is my favorite city in the world. Why? Because it’s the perfect blend of history and the modern world. It has it all- beautiful historical sites, amazing shops and of course; the perfect pizzas ever.
So here’s my experience of Rome and why it’s soo awesome:

1) The people

Italian hospitality is unbeatable. The Italians treat you like long lost buddies right from the moment you first meet. The hotel staff are extra nice and attend to your complaints within seconds. But the best about Italians is the way they speak. Their language comes out like a sweet song. It so adorbs that I wouldn’t be able to guess even if they were swearing at me.
2) The food

If you think you have eaten the best Italian food ever in your own countries, you’re gravely mistaken my friend. The best Italian food comes from the source…which would be Italy in this case (well obviously). These Italian restaurants/cafe’s serve the most scrumptious ravioli, epic mouth-watering risottos and pizzas to die for. I would make a trip back to Rome simply for the food if I could.
3) The historical significance

Rome’s history is divided into two parts. The Roman Empire and Medieval history. The architecture of each era is spread out into two distinct areas. The walk to the Colosseum is one of the most enchanting walks I have ever taken. There are ancient relics on either side of the pathway adding to the charm. The Medieval historical sites give off a very “Game of Thrones” vibe.
4) The Vatican

This mini-city on its own would make a trip to Rome worth-it. The Vatican some of the most beautiful frescos ever in the Sistine Chapel. You will find hundreds of tour guides right outside the Vatican who will give you a tour of the church and museum. Just make sure that you don’t get ripped off!
5) The shopping

Milan is technically a major fashion capital but Rome isn’t far behind. The shopping here is marvelous from boutique brands to mainstream brands. There’s a Zara store that’s four stories high (I spent around two hours there I think). After a day of hard-core shopping you can relax in a nice spot, having street-made square pizzas and watch the sun setting over the beautiful historical ruins. Bliss!
Fun Fact: The Trevi Fountain– a must see site- has magical powers. Apparently whoever puts a coin in there is sure to come back to Rome one day. My mom put the coin twice and has visited Rome twice ever since. I put it as well and I sure do hope to go again someday!

Welcome to Roma, Italy, the Eternal City. Today, we're going on a virtual walk through this amazing city, taking in the famous monuments, charming streets, and vibrant atmosphere. This is a Rome rain walking tour in 4K by Wanna Walk

Rome is a city that is full of magic, both in the sunshine and in the rain. A rainy day in Rome can be a special experience, as the city takes on a new and atmospheric feel. The streets are less crowded, the monuments are even more awe-inspiring, and the cobblestones gleam with rainwater.

If you're planning a rainy day walk in Rome, here is a suggested route that will take you past some of the city's most iconic and touristic places:

Start your walk at Piazza del Popolo. This lively square is home to the famous Egyptian obelisk, which was brought to Rome by Augustus in 10 BC. On a rainy day, the obelisk and the surrounding fountains create a dramatic scene.

From Piazza del Popolo, walk down Via del Babuino towards the Trevi Fountain. This iconic fountain is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Roma, and it's even more beautiful on a rainy day. Be sure to toss a coin in the fountain before you leave, and make a wish!

Next, head to the Pantheon, an ancient Roman temple that is now a church. The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved ancient buildings in the world, and it's a must-see for any visitor to Rome. On a rainy day, you can watch the rainwater fall through the oculus in the center of the dome.

From the Pantheon, walk to Piazza Navona, a lively square that is home to three beautiful fountains. The most famous fountain in Piazza Navona is the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, which depicts the four main rivers of the world. On a rainy day, the fountains in Piazza Navona are even more stunning, as the water creates a mesmerizing mist.

Rome, Italy ???????? - 2022 - 4K HDR Walking Tour (▶558 min)

This video of Rome Was filmed in January of 2022.
Rome has no rivals when it comes to beauty, history, art, nature, parks, architecture and monumentality. The city changes continuously, offering all possible architectural styles which often overlaps, creating two, often three or four level structures that might incorporate, for example, a baroque palace underneath which there might be a medieval church beneath which you might have a second century church under which there might be 3 levels of ancient catacombs.
Additionally, the city displays the greatest amount of monuments and/or points of interest among all world cities, having about 15% of the entire world’s artistic/historic/archaeological/architectural/ inheritance. That is one-sixth of the world’s treasures condensed in one city.
From skyscrapers to rationalism to neoclassicism to Art Deco to Renaissance to Baroque to Medieval to Neo-Gothic to imperial Rome…the list never ends.
I cannot even begin to write about the Eternal City, so much is there.

Here are 12 interesting facts about Rome.

Modern Rome has 280 fountains and more than 900 churches.
Nearly 700,000 euros worth of coins are tossed into Rome’s Trevi Fountain each year. The proceeds are donated to Caritas to help those in need.

In Ancient Rome, only free-born men were allowed to wear togas, a sign of Roman citizenship. Women wore stolas, the female version of togas, made from linen.
The mascot of Rome is a she-wolf that cared for brothers Romulus and Remus, the mythological founders of Rome.
Rome became the capital city of unified Italy in 1870, taking the title from Florence.
Law in Rome allows cats to live without disruption in the place they were born. Wild cats can be climbing the walls of the Colosseum, and sleeping among the ruins of the Forum.

Rome, the eternal city, stands as a majestic testament to centuries of history, culture, and civilization. Located in the heart of Italy, along the banks of the Tiber River, Rome is a city where the past and present coalesce seamlessly, offering a captivating blend of ancient ruins, Renaissance architecture, and modern vitality.

At its core lies the iconic Roman Forum, once the political, religious, and commercial hub of the mighty Roman Empire. Here, among the towering columns and crumbling temples, visitors can stroll through the remnants of an ancient world, imagining the bustling life that once thrived within these hallowed precincts.

Adjacent to the Forum lies perhaps the most enduring symbol of Rome: the Colosseum. This colossal amphitheater, with its grand arches and imposing facade, stands as a testament to the ingenuity and engineering prowess of the ancient Romans. Once the stage for gladiatorial contests and grand spectacles, today it remains a powerful reminder of the city's rich and often tumultuous past.

Yet Rome is not merely a city of ancient relics; it is also a vibrant metropolis teeming with life. Narrow cobblestone streets wind through charming neighborhoods, each boasting its own unique character and allure. Piazzas, adorned with elegant fountains and bustling cafes, serve as gathering places for locals and visitors alike, offering a glimpse into the timeless rhythm of Roman life.

Of course, no visit to Rome would be complete without exploring its wealth of artistic treasures. The Vatican City, an independent enclave within the city limits, is home to some of the world's most revered masterpieces, including Michelangelo's breathtaking frescoes in the Sistine Chapel and the majestic dome of St. Peter's Basilica.

As the sun sets over the city, casting a golden glow upon its ancient monuments, Rome takes on a magical aura, evoking a sense of awe and wonder in all who wander its storied streets. For centuries, it has captivated the hearts and minds of travelers, artists, and dreamers, earning its rightful place as one of the most enchanting cities on Earth.
