Looking for something to do on Halloween 2019? Come to Niagara on the Lake and do a little ghost hunting!
Niagara on the Lake is known as Canada's Most Haunted Town! This is a great way to spend your Halloween in Wine Country where you can find ghosts everywhere! This episode will explore the best things to do in Niagara on the Lake at night as Niagara can get a bit sleepy at night but there is a lot still to do if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Niagara Falls. This will tap into the town's most haunted sites so if you're planning on a trip here you'll want to see this episode as it uncovers it's ghost adventures! Don't worry, Niagara on the Lake is not that scary!
The Ghost Walk Tour is highly recommended! The Ghost Walks are largely attended by locals as well as tourists and it's a great way to learn about the town and it's history. Highly recommend it! There were many people in attendance that do this tour annually.
There is also a ghost walk in Fort George. We did this tour on Halloween.
There were weird things that happened to everyone's camera and photos at one of the vacant haunted houses we went to visit. You'll even learn if there are any haunted houses available for sale and the history of some of the properties and stories.
A lot of the pubs in Niagara on the Lake are haunted and if you're interested in doing a pub crawl, your local bartenders will share some old and new ghost stories given the deep history of this town.
Don't miss attending the Shaw Festival Theatre! Their upcoming season for 2019 is stellar.
The play seen was A Christmas Carol - excellent performance - with Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. It was fortunate the Shaw allowed a photo of the actors as normally this is prohibited.

In haunted Halloween tour to the 'Niagara Parkway Haunted Self-Tour', or free The Haunted Niagara Tour' which takes you from Fort Erie to Niagara on the Lake, or Niagara on the Lake to Fort Erie, depending on what end you choose to start. This is based on the 3 years running TV series from Cogeco Niagara/YourTV Niagara, which had a good-sized viewership, and fans from around the world. The TV series was often featured at Comic Cons and Paracons, a very popular draw. many visitors to Comic Cons, as well as fans of the show consistently inquired about a 'haunted tour' of the sites visited in the show. After several years, we created a 'self-tour for you to enjoy on your own--some sites are public, while others are private properties or entrance-fee locations. Always, check in advance. We are hoping to stimulate interest in Niagara's rich history while sharing some food ghost stories and legends.

Ghost Hunting and Wine Drinking in Niagara-on-the-Lake (I saw something)
I visit the haunted wine region of Niagara-on-the-Lake and I might have caught a ghost on camera?!
I visited Canada's most haunted town and stayed on my own in a hotel, where I felt the strange presence of a friendly German ghost?! I ate lunch at a haunted winery, Vineland Estates, and learned from staff-member Tommy about the ghosts of the old property. My friend and sommelier, Erin Henderson, taught me a little more about wine and food pairing over lunch and our winemaker friend, Dean took us through a haunted graveyard in the old town of Niagara near the Battle of Fort George! I visit a lot of haunted places across the town, include Ye Olde Angel Inn pub, searching for ghosts. Did I manage to catch the legendary Watcher on camera?

Haunted Maze at Maan Farms
The Haunted Corn Maze at Maan Farms is one of the scariest and most impressive Halloween attractions in Western Canada. It is terrifying! If you like haunted houses, horror movies and being totally freaked out, you'll love it!
This video shows just a tiny fraction of what you'd see if you visited the attraction in 2020. Each year it is different. This video clip is less than a minute long. In total, it took us over 15 minutes to get through the entire maze. In the process we entered about a dozen and a half structures and passed close to 70 live actors in ghastly costumes. It was so much fun, but also horrifying! Somehow we managed to survive!
