Welcome to Swahili Beach resort

Located in Diani, Off the world famous Diani Beach voted Africa’s leading beach destination. In a good location near a shopping centre, a hospital and restaurants.

A resort with a beautiful fusion of African, Indian, Arabian and Zanzibari influences in it’s art and architecture. The grounds are well kept and quite beautiful

Big spacious rooms, with balconies and all amenities you need for a holiday are available for you. Quite advantageous especially for a family with kids, there was enough room for everyone. The baraza beds came in handy.

You have a choice of several restaurants for your meals, from the Indian cuisine, Buffet, Zanzibar/Swahili cuisine and the a la carte option. A choice I noticed not many people take advantage off, you will find most people taking the buffet option for the duration of their stay yet the other restaurants offer other options open to them

A seven layer cascading pool runs for 200 m to the very edge of the white sandy beach. Fed by spring water and natural salts. In addition to a Spa and a Gym for your recreational activities. The big pools were quite a hit with the kids in addition to the white sandy beach.

Last but not least, the very helpful and welcoming staff, not intrusive but always eager to assist or make your stay better

8 Crazy AFRICAN Hotels For Your Next Vacation!

1. Kruger Shalati.
This hotel is built to imitate a 1920s train and is sat on top of a 100-year-old historical railway bridge in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Each train cabin is a luxury suite with an extra-long king-size bed, ensuite bathroom with satin bathrobes, a Juliet balcony, and a small bar.
The complex itself has a bar and lounge, a restaurant and dining room, and 2 deck areas with swimming pools that have been built on the old water tank stands, and are also one of the best places to view lions in the whole national park.

2. Constance Tsarabanjina.
25 thatched bungalows located on the private island Tsarabanjina off the coast of Madagascar offer direct access to white powdery sand beaches, a deck with day beds, air conditioning, a king-size bed, and an ensuite bathroom.
The beachfront main building offers a Spa, Bar, Tennis court, and laundry service along with a restaurant that offers a large buffet breakfast and a three-course dinner.
All food and drinks are included in the room's price as are activities such as waterskiing, volleyball, sailing, paddle surfing, and kayaking.

3. Giraffe Manor.
Sat in the 140 acres of forest in the Giraffe Center in Nairobi, Kenya. This reformed 1930's manor has maintained its original charm and character along with its beautiful courtyard and grounds.
It has a Spa, a gift shop that sells local arts and crafts, and a quiant restaurant and dining room where you'll not only see all the other visitors but you'll also be visited by the friendly giraffes that stick their heads in through the windows, roam around the hotel's grounds, and give the Giraffe Manor its original name.

4. Little Kulala.
This complex, located on the edge of the Namib-Nakluft National Park in Namibia has a restaurant, bar, and pool and 11 incredibly stylish thatched-roof lodges each with its own private terrace and ensuite bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows, and plunge pool.
Every lodge is tastefully decorated in wood and natural fibers with earth tones and although there are all double room they actually boast two king-size beds! A beautiful four-poster inside, and the other is on the roof terrace where you can experience a candle-lit night, sleeping under the stars.

5. &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge.
This hotel beautifully combines glass and concrete with rusted steel and stonework.
Located on a private 37-acre reserve in the Namib Desert in Namibia, the lodge is composed of 10 individual suites that are entirely solar-powered.
Each suite has a glass wall and sliding doors with views of the desert and the terrace pool, and a skylight over the bed to view the stars at night.
The main lodge has a Spa, gym, a communal swimming pool and sitting area, a bar and restaurant, and a telescope from where you can watch ostrich and zebra drink from a nearby waterhole.

6. Elsa's Kopje Lodge.
Sitting on the Mughwango hill in the Meru plains, Kenya, this eco-friendly lodge has a massage hut, bar and restaurant, and an infinity pool that seemingly pours off onto the plains below.
Each cottage is backed up against the granite hillside with open-front bedrooms and sitting rooms and incredible views. There are three honeymoon suites, two of which have open-air bathtubs, the third comes with its own private garden and infinity pool.

7. Planet Baobab.
Offering a more authentic experience, Planet Baobab is located in the village of Gweta in Botswana and surrounded by a shoulder-high fence that is the only thing that stops the elephants from tearing down the 13, 4000-year-old Baobab trees guarded within.
The complex consists of 18 traditional huts with thatched roofs and cow-dung walls that, although they may look humble, actually have in-room safes, electric fans, and ensuite bathrooms with showers and solar-heated hot water.
The facilities offer a well-maintained swimming pool that's the largest in Kalahari, Spa treatments, a lively bar, and a restaurant that has something for everyone.

8. Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.
Nestled in 100 acres of landscaped gardens on the foothills of Mount Kenya this hotel has a 9-hole golf course, a fitness center, tennis court, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and an on-site animal orphanage where you can see anything from leopards to a 150-year-old tortoise.
The hotel has 120 rooms including the Grand Equatorial Suite where Sir Winston Churchill used to stay and just so happens to be sat on the earth's equator, half the room is in the northern hemisphere and half is in the southern.
