Delhi, India is a true CURRY HEAVEN, and we traveled here to go for this DEEP Street Food tour of Old Delhi! The Food Ranger (Trevor James) is in India eating Street Food! This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner.

If you love eating street food around the world and street food in India, or even all over Asia, you will love the street food in Old Delhi. You can find street food everywhere, where everyone seems to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and SPICY dishes all over the street.

In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style.

We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food.

The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!!

Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious!

After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish!

To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!!

The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India.

I am in India and I captured amazing videos for you of the beautiful nature, culture, and unique foods here with my good friend Delhi Food Walks
This place is truly beautiful and it gives me a strange but lovely vibe. I am very excited to taste the famous and spicy foods here and share my experiences with you.

The foods I tasted in Delhi:

Khasta Kachori and Aloo Sabzi:
Kachori is an Indian snack made from flour. It's filled with spices and lentils, then deep-fried. It's served with a very spicy sauce called Aloo Sabzi. Aloo means potato & Sabzi means vegetable. They sprinkle some masala and green chili on top which makes it unique.

Indian Golden Tea:
This exceptional Indian tea is made with full fat milk, black tea, sugar, & spices. It also has almonds and is topped with saffron powder. It had a delightful taste.

Various Paratha bread in a 150-year-old shop:
This unique shop, has different kinds of Indian Parathas served with various chutneys such as pumpkin, aloo mutter, and sweet sauce made of mango powder & sugar. I had the Green Chili Paratha with Aloo Mutter chutney (a mix of green peas & potatoes), mixed veggie paratha with sweet sauce (sugar, mango powder, banana slices), and their special sweet Paratha filled with Rabri. Rabri consists of milk, sugar, & almonds, it didn't need any special chutney and was delicious.

Bedmi Poori, Chole Bhature, Indian samosa with Jalebi:
Both Bedmi Poori and Bhatura are very popular airy and puffy Indian bread fried in oil and served with Chole (chickpeas) and different chutneys such as potato curry, pickles, spicy chili sauce, coriander, mint, and some raw onions. The difference between Poori and Bhatura is in their crispiness and size. Poori is made from whole wheat flour and Bhatura from all-purpose flour, making Bhatura slightly larger and crispier than Poori. Afterward, they brought us Halwa, Jalebi, and Gulab Jamun which were amazing. Also, I tasted an Indian samosa filled with potatoes, vegetables, and some almonds, and two types of sauces (mint sauce and a sweet and spicy sauce made from mango powder and sugar) which I loved.

Rice with Chickpea Curry and Raw Onions:
I loved this dish. A chickpea sauce was poured over the rice which had yogurt in it and it was topped with a few slices of raw onions. I ate it with my hands and it really had a flavorful and tasty spice.

Rabri Falooda:
Rabri Falooda was a delicious Indian dessert consisting of falooda and rabri (milk, sugar, cardamom, and nuts) with ice. It had an exquisite taste.

Mixed Indian Bread with Dal Makhani:
This distinct, fatty, and delicious Indian bread had potatoes and cabbage inside, and was topped with butter. It's served with Dal Makhani, which is made from lentils and special spices, cooked slowly for hours to get a creamy texture. It is served as a dip with the bread. The combination of this fatty bread with creamy Dal Makhani has a legendary taste.

Indian Kulfi: Kulfi is a famous Indian dessert made from thick fatty milk, sugar, and flavoring. Here, they had different varieties like mango, pomegranate, orange, and apple. I tasted the mango stuffed kulfi and pomegranate stuffed kulfi, both were unique. For the pomegranate kulfi, they remove the seed of the fruit and fill it with rabri or other milk-based substances. But I loved the pomegranate kulfi more. Also, I tried a saffron kulfi which tasted like the Iranian saffron ice cream and was delicious.

Indian Pan:
Paan is a traditional Betel Leaf Mouth Freshener in Delhi. The right way to chew paan is to place it in your mouth on a side between your teeth and chew slowly. If the paan does not contain harmful substances like areca nut or tobacco, you can swallow the juices. After the flavor is gone dispose it

Chole Kulche: Chole Kulche is an Indian street food where 'Kulche' is the bread and 'Chole' are chickpeas. Essentially, Chole is poured over the bread and topped with some raw onions, and it's really tasty.

Crispy Aloo Tikki (stuffed with green peas and lentils) with Tamarind Sauce:
Aloo Tikki is actually the Indian mashed potato filled with green peas and lentils, fried in oil, and eaten with tamarind sauce. It has an extraordinary taste.

I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned for more

Is Street Food in Delhi Good? // India Travel Vlog

We took a street food tour in Chandni Chowk with A Chef's Tour and ate so much Indian food! We navigated the very busy streets of Old Delhi to try dahi bhalla for the first time, eat sweet paan, try pani puri, drink masala chai tea for the first time in India, try lemon soda, eat roti, and try so many more street foods!

If you want to book the same tour with A Chef's Tour, click here!:

Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi is the best place to try Indian street food because so many of the shops have been around for more than 100 years. They are passed down from generation to generation and the recipes are perfected through the years. The popularity of these food stalls also makes them a really safe place for foreigners to eat because the food is eaten so constantly that the ingredients are always fresh and delicious!

This video shows our first time eating Indian street food and in it we visit Chandni Chowk and it's world famous spice market. Although New Delhi is a great place to visit in Delhi, we highly recommend taking the time to try the street food in Old Delhi like we did in this video! We would suggest going with a guide so you can learn about the dishes, try all the best foods, and be confident that you are eating at places that won't end in a stomach ache!

We cannot recommend A Chef's Tour more highly if you are trying to decide which food tour company to book with. Our guide, Gajendra, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the food scene in Delhi and did an incredible job at pacing our tour so that we didn't get too full to enjoy the food!

Indian Street Food Old Delhi Tour - Best Indian Street Food - Street Food India. I love Indian Food. To discover the best Indian street food you have to travel to the old towns, in this case old Delhi. We travelled to Delhi, India to experience the amazing Indian food. We ate curry, naan and other Indian street food during our visit. Old Delhi has a massive variety of Indian street food on offer! This is the place to get the best Street Food in India! Indian food is amazing in Delhi. I've tried Indian food in Kerala which I also enjoyed.

In Kerala, I tried Sadya which is a variety of curries and sauces served on a banana leaf and eaten with the hands: I also experienced an evening on a houseboat on the Kerala backwaters, where I also experienced an amazing dinner and breakfast, which also included my favourite egg curry:

Additional highlights of the Old Delhi tour we did included, Heritage and Bazaar walk, Cycle Rickshaw ride and visiting a local home complimentary traditional meal in a Haveli (an Old Private Mansion in the old city in which single family is living from generations)
