In July 2023, I had the pleasure of spending 2 Nights at this traditional cottage style resort in Bermuda.
I RATE MY STAY 4 OUT OF 5 ⭐ For context, I am a local living on the island, and here is what I genuinely thought about our Staycation:
❤️THINGS TO LOVE❤️
✨️The multiple BEACHES ⛱️ ???? with crystal clear blue water and 2 Pools
✨️Fresh design of the hotel is giving WHITE LOTUS Vibes and incorporates Bermudian artwork from Meredith Andrews, Graham Forester, Black Pony Art Gallery???? ???? and many other famous artists.
✨️Everything is on site, the property is large???? with lots of secret gardens and areas to explore
✨️Sunken Harbor Club Bar whips up the most delicious cocktails ???????? and the dimly lit hideaway feels like you've stumble upon a Pirate's secret treasure ????☠️
✨️The cottage was massive and it was a joy to spend time in our room and personal porch. Some cottages have their own PRIVATE POOL????Despite the hotel being fully occupied, you never felt crowded or that your privacy was being invaided by other guests.
⚠️NOT EVERYONES CUP OF TEA⚠️
(the hazard signs are a bit aggressive but not every guest would be into)
✨️The proximity to nature- this is a cottage colony of a mature Bermudian property- you might have a tree frog ???? hop into your room, see lizards running up the wall, have little sparrows join you at breakfast. I think it's all part of the charm, but it may not be for you!
✨️The cottages are spread out and not connected to the main hotel- if you have mobility issues you may not like walking up and down and small hills, or you might get caught in your room at lunch if there's a passing rain shower (but the staff can come rescue you with the golf cart)
✨️The hotel is located on the very Western side of the island and relatively far from other activities/sights. If you want to spend most of your time relaxing on the resort, this hotel is perfect, but if you want to be going out exploring all of the ???? this might not be your jam.
✨️ You are at a relaxing beach resort- the staff and hosts are there to assist, but they're not going to rush you, so if you're expecting speedy, metropolitan style service, that's just not the lifestyle in Bermuda. You're on island time and it's okay to just go with the flow.

✨️ This is my SECOND time staying with Cambridge Beaches, and I've experienced the resort both before and after the major 2022/23 Refurbishment. The upgrades and made leaps and bounds to the comfort and freshness of the property, but there are still bits and pieces that weren't complete at my time of stay. The Spa facilities had yet to be updated and the Steam Room and Sauna are undergoing maintenance.. ie Out of Order. If this is a deal breaker for you, worth inquiring about before making your reservation to see if those renovations are complete
✨️Bottled Water was not complimentary in the room, but available for purchase at restaurants or the gift shop.
✨️The TV/Cable offerings were ANCIENT! ???? I'm talking 90's grainy bunny ears cable (GenZ has no clue what I'm talking about) limited channels, and no Netflix. As a Bermudian I understand how challenging/expensive it is to wire cable to each individual cottage, but at least figure out Netflix. We screen shared Netflix from our Phone to the TV as a workaround.

Golfing Country and USA Golf and Travel visited Bermuda to report on the Port Royal Golf Course (uploaded on our Golfing Country Tv youtube channel) and had the pleasure of staying right beside the golf course at the Pompano Beach Club hotel. Another pink beauty in Bermuda! The hotel has a private beach cove, water activities, pool, restaurants, and views to the ocean from every room. Noteworthy, it is owned and operated by the Lamb family; giving you special attention when you visit. Bermuda is just gorgeous and think of it when you vacation, upcoming even over the holidays.
