After more than 22 years of marriage we are still best friends

BELIZE is a small exotic country with beautiful islands in caribbean sea. It used to be an English colony officially ruled by queen Elizabeth 2nd, but nowadays it is independent country with its own government.
We have visited islands Caye Caulker, Ambergris Caye and San Pedro. The islands are really beautiful with amazing beaches, crystal clear water and reggae bars. The best thing to do is go diving around coral reefs where you can observe rich sea life. Belize has the second largest coral reef eco system in the world. People living here have strong connection with nature and In one of the local beach bars you can find natural seahorse farm.
The main transportation on island are bikes and electric Golf cars so the air is always fresh and you can enjoy island without noise of cars. People are really friendly and if you need a ride most of them will let you jump in. Another part which standout are colored wooden houses all over the island, they have a beautiful architecture and colors are pleasure for your eyes.
Once you get hungry you should try belizean food, you can choose from variety of fresh seafood or traditional chicken stew.
The islands felt very safe even at the night. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive and you have to pay fees when you arrive and also when you are leaving the country which adds up to your budget but it is worthy as it is a beautiful unique place and definitely should be on your list of places to visit.

Belize currency is a Belizean dollar 1USD = 2BZD

Caye Caulker & Placencia, Belize: World's 2nd largest coral reef & Belize Caribbean coast 4K
Check out our video of 10 days spent in Caye Caulker Belize and Placencia in the South of the country. During our stay in Caye Caulker at Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel, we explored the island, ate some of the best lobster and seafood of our lives and did a snorkeling tour to the Hol Chan national reserve, part of 2nd biggest coral reef in the world in Belize. During the Caye Caulker snorkeling tour with Salt Life Eco Tours, we saw nurse sharks, manatees, turtles, eagle rays, sting rays & much more.
From Caye Caulker, Belize, we then headed south to Placencia, a small and relaxed vibe town where we spent a few days before catching the once a week direct boat to Puerto Cortes, Honduras. Like Caye Caulker, there's plenty of snorkel tours, fishing tours and island trips you can do from Placencia, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the beach and around the town having already done the tours we wanted to in Caye Caulker.

Belize - 2017 - Mayan Temples - Caye Caulker - Cave Tubing - Tikal
If you have any questions regarding my trip or things I'd recommend, leave a comment below! Belize and Guatemala are very welcoming and amazing.
The itinerary of our trip:
1. Snorkeling Adventure - Coral Garden, Tarpon Feeding, Shark Ray Alley and Caye Caulker Beach Break with Belize Exotic Adventures. I did not film the snorkeling or shark feeding bit since we were in the water swimming. But I filmed the tarpon feeding, which was really cool!
2. Xunantunich Mayan Ruins with Pacz Tours. This is the 2nd tallest structure in Belize (behind the temple at Caracol) but it was really easy to climb. The view is spectacular. We also stopped at Cahal Pech Ruins that are walking distance from San Ignacio as well as the iguana sanctuary at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.
3. Caracol Mayan Ruins along with Rio Frio Cave and Rio on Pools with MayaWalk Tours. Caracol is a fairly large site with many temples to climb, as well as the largest structure in Belize! The road took a bumpy 2 hours to get here, but worth it. Rio On Pools are natural pools in a river that felt refreshing after hiking around the ruins.
4. Tikal Mayan Ruins in Guatemala with Pacz Tours. This is a must for anyone going to Belize. Tikal is too close to Belize to pass up, and it's the largest Mayan ruins site. Countless temples to climb, all surrounded by jungle and wildlife. One can never forget this is where George Lucas filmed Yavin 4 in the original Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977.
5. Cave tubing with MayaWalk Tours in the Caves Branch river system at the Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve. After a 45 minutes hike through the jungle, we floated peacefully down a river that passed through multiple caves and jungle.
This video was filmed between January 3rd, 2017 to January 9th, 2017. It consists mainly of my adventures with my family in Belize, but a quick side trip to Tikal in Guatemala.

You take the boat from Belize city. These are not the most beautiful beaches in my world tour. There are many tourists (mostly Americans). it's really not peaceful. You can snorkel or dive but it's very expensive

After Caye Caulker, I tried Ambergris Island in San Pedro. it was the best part of Belize. it's really calm. You can go to the top of the island to be alone and have fun at the beach or at the sea.
The aquatic world is great. I recommend taking a boat trip to see the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, the Shark Zone, and to see El Cielo Beach

Holiday in CAYE CAULKER - Belize - Cinematic VIDEO
While travelling around Central America, we decided to visit Belize. We didn't have much time, so we decided to choose only one place which turned out to be amazing Caye Caulker. The main motto of the locals is go slow and they obey it so much that you can get a warning when you march too fast! We were planning to stay there for three days but we eventually left after five! We drank beer on the popular Split, sunbathed at Koko King resort, dived with stingrays and sharks and ate delicious lobsters. And we captured it all with a gopro camera and a dji drone.
