During our visit of Mauritius, we stayed in three wonderful resorts of the Beachcomber Group ( and explored the island from north to south and east to west. Additionally, we visited the island of Rodrigues, which is the second major island of the country of Mauritius.

Villa Mary Pererenan - Bali
This is a beachfront holiday venue with a bonus, for Villa Mary not only gives you a 45 metre beach frontage, but also wide rice field views, as well as a river at the bottom of the garden.
All five bedrooms have sea views and there are two unenclosed living areas on two different levels which give you 180-degree views from the rice fields to the ocean.
Gifted French designers Gaelle Echene and Charles Pelletier have created a unique ambience that combines beachcomber insouciance with utter luxury -- living areas are beautifully sited to the beach, the sea and the sky.
There really is room to move and to breath in the sea air, for Villa Mary is truly expansive. Floor space over two levels is more than 800 square metres, and the garden and pools are a vast 3270 square metres.

The film was made during my second stay on the island of Mauritius. This time in the southern part of the island. I assess this part of the island as less attractive than the northern part.
But still, Mauritius is a great place to relax. The beaches are wonderful, hot water and delicious food. Quite little traffic on the roads. I recommend renting a car and exploring the island yourself.

Manly Beach
We went from the Central Coast to Manly by trains and a ferry. The trip there took us 2 hours but it was all worth it. Beautiful blue water, with great walks through the mountains, lots of great stores and delicious food everywhere. I recommend traveling down to Manly to just chill out with your friends and have a great time.

Helicopter Arrival at the Le Touessrok Resort & Spa.
The newly refurbished Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort & Spa opened only last month and the result is truly stunning. This is one of the most beautiful beach locations in the world where you can relax by the pool, unwind with a deep massage in the tranquil spa or simply chill out on the beach in the warmth of the winter sun. Of course, the real fun starts when you dive or snorkel in the clear warm waters, take the short trip across to the neighbouring off-shore islands or join other guests for evening cocktails as the sun begins to set.
If you want to arrive in style and get to the beach without delay, I recommend the helicopter transfer from the airport. The views of the shallow turquoise waters below are stunning and your visit will get off to a great start.
