We spent a month in La Fortuna, Costa Rica exploring nature and hiking! Here is a preview of the 6 trails we did, complete with pricing information!

The hiking areas and nature reserves we visit in the video are
1. Arenal National Park - we run into some cool wildlife, experience our first chifrijos (my favorite Costa Rican dish!), and meet a local wildlife volunteer! 2. Tirimbina Nature Reserve, located at the Saraquipi river - the reserve had amazing hanging bridges and was our personal favorite!
3. Parque Nacional Juan Castro Blanco - a high altitude cloud forest with a beautiful lake!
4. Braulio Carillo National Park - A large reserve with a lot of wildlife!
5. Arenal Observatory Lodge - easy hiking close to La Fortuna
6. Pocosol (Children's Eternal Rainforest) - a very local and highly recommended nature reserve (the largest private reserve in Costa Rica!). It requires a 4x4 vehicle to access.

It’s finally time for me to experience the fascinating country of Costa Rica which has progressive environmental policies. It is the only country to meet all five UNDP criteria established to measure environmental sustainability. With this video I want to show you my travel experience and introduce you to some of the best things to do in Costa Rica along the Pacific Coast.

As a brand ambassador for G Adventures I decided to join an active tour on the Pacific Coast (South-West Coast of Costa Rica) that focuses on local living in the middle of the jungle in order to get a better understanding of this biodiverse country and the way of life.

Use this video as your Costa Rica guide in order to help deciding which activities you want to take on and/or which sights in Costa Rica you want to explore yourself!

--About my Cooperation with G Adventures--
For many years I was searching for a suitable partner who offers tours in South America which align with my style of traveling as well as my values. After many meetings I’m glad I found this partner with G Adventures who offer many adventurous tour packages for travelers like me…but who also care about the environment and local communities in order to execute sustainable tourism. I forced this cooperation because I like the products and the philosophy of the company. Nevertheless all opinions, recommendations and views are my own.

Cycling Costa Rica - Vacation in Paradise? // A Bike Touring Short Film // Part 25 - Costa Rica

Before our two-week vacation with Tobi's friends in Costa Rica could begin, we had to endure three final cycling days, which pushed us to our physical and mental limits! Especially the last day saw us climbing 1,700 m and tested us with a puncture just a few kilometers before our final destination.

We had really been looking forward to our vacation for months and had definitely noticed how overdue it was for us. The past 7 months we had been pushing it pretty hard, with 5 days of Covid quarantine being our longest time off cycling in that period.

The amazing rainforests & wildlife make Costa Rica an incredible place, but is it really paradise...?

My Trip To COSTA RICA! | A Short Travel Film

This is a fun video to showcase some of the things I did in Costa Rica. This video is like a teaser since it only covers a small amount of the two months of when I was in Costa Rica.

The resort we stayed at is called Tabacon, which is right next to Mount Arenal. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel that has hot springs attached. And if you stay at the hotel you get private access to other hot springs that are the hottest (temperature-wise) Tabacon has to offer, plus the private area is really cool and secluded.

Most of the other shots I took with my phone were taken in Tamarindo.

Coast To Coast In Costa Rica

To test our new Spring product line, we took a small crew for a mad dash across Costa Rica in pursuit of good times, big fish, and great waves.

Despite setbacks like delayed flights, broken transmissions in the middle-of-nowhere Costa Rica, language barriers and more, we were able to seal the deal on not one but all of our pursuits. From tarpon to roosterfish and all sorts of shenanigans inbetween, take in the full Coast To Coast trip through our video above and through installments about each stop along the way.

Backpacking Costa Rica

I spent 2 weeks backpacking around Costa Rica in Jaco, Manuel Antonio, San Gerardo de Rivas, Puerto Viejo, Puntarenas, Monteverde, San Jose, Volcan Arenal, Guanacaste Region and a sunrise summit of the tallest mountain (Cerro Chirripo). Met some great locals and travelers along the way and wanted to share some highlights..... Pura Vida!!!

COSTA RICA BACKPACKING TRIP

My boyfriend and I spent 12 days backpacking across Costa Rica last May. Starting in San Jose, made our way to La Fortuna for a few days to see the La Fortuna Waterfall and Volcano. Then we traveled to Monteverde for a few days there where we got to Zip Line, and hike through the rainforest on hanging bridges. Our last stop before making it back to San Jose was Quepos just outside of Manuel Antonio where we got to see the most beautiful beaches.

We traveled with G Adventures which helped us a lot with our transportation to each destination, as well as our accommodations being booked for every place, this allowed us to put our trip planning towards the excursions and places we wanted to visit while in each city. Highly recommend booking with G Adventures on your first backpacking trip.
