There are quite literally countless reasons to love the British Virgin Islands. For one thing, they're unlike the other Caribbean Islands, seeing as how they aren't nearly as crowded or commercialized. They're also one of the perfect places to go to relax and unwind, thanks to the gorgeous beaches and the fabulous range of leisure activities to take part in.

The island chain has no shortage of natural wonders to see as well. The countless bays, coves, and gardens found here are brimming with the beauty that is far more impressive seen in person rather than simply gawking at a scenic view plastered on a postcard.

In addition to the breathtakingly beautiful scenery, the British Virgin Islands also are home to an abundance of wildlife that has been allowed to flourish within its natural habitat. Everything from coral gardens and reefs to iguanas and geckos and dolphins and whales are on display.

The food that can be found in the British Virgin Islands is also another major selling point. There are hundreds of world-class dining spots scattered throughout the islands that serve up everything from affordable local street fare to fine-dining delicacies. Perhaps one of the best reasons to visit the British Virgin Islands, however, is the fact that it's one of the top sailing destinations on planet Earth.

Regardless of what sorts of attractions you're into, there is a little bit of something for everyone in this beautiful tropical destination. If you need a bit more convincing, watch this video in full to hear what we think are the best things to do in the British Virgin Islands.

WATCH THIS! Why Go to The British Virgin Islands

Why Go to The British Virgin Islands? The British Virgin Islands, or BVI for short, are some of the most exclusive and least developed islands of the Caribbean, but this only adds to their appeal. The resorts, villas, restaurants and other tourist attractions in this paradise are known to emphasize spare luxury over sprawling expansion, and they attract travelers with deep pockets and a love for sailing and seclusion.

British Virgin Islands: Best Places to Visit in February

British Virgin Islands: Best Places to Visit in February.

What You Need to Know:
1. It's all about the Benjamins
This might be the British Virgin Islands, but the official currency is the U.S. dollar. And you'll need a lot of those dollars to spare.

2. Island-hopping is a must
One island is almost never enough. If you're coming all this way, you might as well splurge on a few daytrips around the BVI.

3. The best stuff is away from the ferry dock
It'll take some initiative, but you can find the best restaurants and beaches off the beaten track.
