In ep 28 we sail our boat from Nazare, where we left of in ep 27, to Lissabon, the algarve and the 4 day crossing to Lanzarote on the canarie islands. We set the sails, take them down, and set them again over and over, as the wind on the atlantic never does as its suppose to. we bring on new crew for the crossing and enjoy our time with other family boats.

#269 It's certainly feeling like we're never gonna leave Ponta Delgada. This time though it's because of the mounting pile of tasks, dodgy ovens and fibreglass repairs. La Vaga is looking more like a construction barge than home right now. As much as we want a functioning kitchen, we're really itching to get out on the water again. Especially because a submerged crater is just sitting there, come on let's goooooooo.
And we have a late change to the squad: Bri is leaving us, fair winds! But Andre returns, back on the boat for our Azores adventures. Welcome back, and let's hit the water.

It's pretty rough when you have some bad seasickness which you can't escape. Lenny and Riley at the helm as we wrangle some bad weather at the very first stretch of our foray into the Atlantic. The Azores better be worth it!
Bonus: Riley puts on his meteorologist hat for a forensic post-mortem of the journey to the Azores. Every hour and day matters and timing, as you'll see, is so critical to planning and executing our journeys.

We went to check on the first two boats in Slovenia and find out what to look for. Two inspections without any idea, only some checklist from the web!
This weekend were two boats on our plan, one in Portorož and one in Izola. We spent in total 16 hours in the car on one weekend, but it was totally worth it! The first Boat, the Elan 43 was great, and the second - Bavaria 41 was okay. Could one of the boats become our own yacht?
For those who don't know us yet: We are two Swiss Guys, with little to no sailing experience, and the dream to sail around the world. We are totally sailing beginners and got the idea through Youtube and Sailing La Vagabonde!
