There is so much to see and do on Blue Lagoon Island and I am going to give you a complete review. This virtual tour will take you from the beginning of the Island to the end of the island and everything in between.
Blue Lagoon is located on Salt Cay which is about a 20-25 minute boat road from downtown Nassau. And it is a beautiful ride past the Atlantis Hotel and homes along the shore of Nassau. It is a must stop whether you are staying in Nassau or cruising into port on a cruise ship.

BLUE LAGOON Island - Nassau - Disney Dream Cruise
We are at our first port on the Disney Dream in Nassau! And these girls have never seen the beautiful water of the Bahamas, so we are headed to Blue Lagoon Island. This is a 25 minute ferry ride from Nassau but it is beautiful along the way! We were afraid the island would be too crowded but we were wrong. Everyone spreads out and there is plenty of room. We even got lounge chairs in the shade! The beach is very enjoyable as it is smooth sand and the water is shallow. It was quite chilly in March, but it's ok once you are in for a few minutes.
After we get back to Nassau, the girls want to do a bit of shopping and had braids put in there hair. All this and we made it back on to the ship just in time.
Tonight is the best dining room on any Disney cruise ship, Animator's Palate! This comes to life around you. It is interactive and Crush, from Finding Nemo, was telling us stories, asking us questions, and even had the entire restaurant doing the wave as he swam from one screen to the next!
Tomorrow is Castaway Cay!

BLUE LAGOON IS AMAZING!! Beautiful Excursion in Nassau (Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas)
So many people don’t like to port in Nassau… but there are some beautiful spots to visit! We took an excursion to Blue Lagoon Island. It is a 25 minute water shuttle through the port to the island and there are some great views along the way.
Once on the island, you can just chill on the beach or you can participate in one of their animal encounters with dolphins or stingrays! We decided to just chill and enjoyed the palm tree shade, cool water and beautiful views. Also, the excursion we booked included lunch and it was yummy! We could choose from bbq chicken or a hamburger… or they may give you both. Very good!
Jason couldn’t help himself and had to get a pass for the water toys. What fun was that! They are hard to climb but so much fun on the way down!

I FOUND THE BEST BEACH IN NASSAU | Blue Lagoon Island | Carnival Mardi Gras
I discovered the best beach to visit in Nassau, Blue Island Lagoon, on the Carnival Mardi Gras on her first call ever to the port in the Bahamas.
We begin the day on the pier in Nassau, Bahamas, the last port of call for the inaugural sailing of the Mardi Gras. I soon board a ferry to Blue Lagoon Island, some 30 minutes from the Nassau port on New Providence Island in the Bahamas. I was amazed when I got to this beautiful location - I had never been on an excursion in Nassau before.
I spent a fun day at the VIP Beach Experience at Blue Lagoon Island, enjoying the free food and drinks, lounging by the ocean on the beach, and checking out the marine life which included dolphins, sting rays, and sharks! Once back to the Mardi Gras I enjoy dinner onboard the ship for the last night of the cruise.
The Carnival Mardi Gras was the first ship to sail from Port Canaveral in over 15 months. The Mardi Gras is the brand new ship from Carnival Cruise Line, the first of its Excel Class of ships. The Carnival Celebration will debut in November 2022, followed by a third Excel ship in 2023.

Today we're visiting Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau, Bahamas for an excursion offered by the cruise line! We'll show you the best spots to chill, what food and drinks are included with the excursion, an island overview, and more. We visited Nassau in March 2023 aboard Royal Caribbeans Liberty of the Seas. Nassau had several cruise ships in that day, but blue lagoon seemed more than equipped to handle the larger crowds. Overall we really enjoyed our time at Blue lagoon, and would definitely go back!

We had such an awesome time visiting the Bahamas. I hadn't been to Blue Lagoon Island in so long, but seeing all the new updates they've implemented in 2019 is really incredible!
They've added a dolphin swim, Segways, sting ray exhibit and there's also a new food court on the island with some of the best bbq chicken I've had since Coco Cay! ;)
Seriously, we had a great time relaxing on the beach, listening to great music having drinks with friends. It truly brought home the meaning of a peaceful vacation. What surprised me the most was the Segway Safari Tour! That was one of my favorite parts because I got to see parts of Nassau Bahamas you typically don't get to see.
It truly is one of Nassau's Bahamas best kept secrets, because we visited a small castle/fort and it had some of the best views I've seen (without a drone).
