BEST PIZZA in THE WORLD in Tokyo Japan?!
Went to eat at a couple of pizza restaurants in Tokyo Japan where people and many publications have said has the BEST pizza in the world. That, of course, is a very very bold statement so I went to Da Isa where pizza cooked by Chef Yamamoto is called Damn near perfect by Time Out Magazine. Then it was off to Pizza Studio Tamaki for what I think is one of the best pizzas I have ever had.

When referencing global foods and cuisines, Japan plays the role of both pioneer and staple. Tokyo, Japan’s epicenter, proliferates some of the best food in the world, both inside and outside the scope of traditional Asian cuisine. The quality of sushi and sashimi are so vastly superior that any question of otherwise is not only rhetorical, but rude. “But what about pizza?” The preceding mantra quickly emerged as my feet were gaining familiarity with this new foreign land. Wagyu; Sake; Tuna - obviously the verdict was preordained before any restaurant or meal was chosen. But what about pizza? Well, one entire day was dedicated to answering that question...

Where to find the best pizza in Tokyo
Exploring & Shopping Tokyo + Best Pizza Ever | Shibuya & Ikebukuro | Japan vlog
Hello Tim Friends, and welcome back to Tim in Japan! In this episode, we take a more thorough tour of the Tokyo city center.
On the first day we head to Ikebukuro. There we stop by a Don Quijote, eat some amazing sashimi and tempura for lunch, and have some crane game and gachapon fun. We grabbed these amazing mini apple pies for dessert and got some department store food to go. We also tried Japanese McDonald's for the first time!
The next day we head back to Shibuya. A bustling cityscape with people everywhere. Finally picked up my Nippon Made Onitsuka Tigers, then we stopped for a coffee break at the nearby Muji Cafe. After our little break, we headed to the famous, amazing stationery landmark known as Loft Shibuya. Loft has an incredible amount of things to explore and purchase, including tons of amazing B-Side Label stickers.
Then we went to the Starbucks in Shibuya crossing to eat out mentaiko and tamago onigiri, and after we headed over to Roppongi to meet up with some friends for the most amazing pizza I've ever eaten. An Italian trained Japanese chef with a bonafide brick oven - absolute perfection.

Best Pizza and Burgers in Tokyo! [Vlog 47]
My new favorite pizza place in Tokyo - the Pizza Bar on the 38th at the Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. Exclusively set for 8 diners, the pizza bar lets you enjoy pizza fresh from the oven with a “chef’s table” experience. The light, crisp Roman-style pizza is my new favorite in Tokyo. Thank you, Chef Ito for the experience and the treats of pizzino and homemade limoncello!
Then, it was dinner at my favorite burger place in the world - Shack Shake!! I was thrilled when I stumbled across the newest branch in Tokyo at the Tokyo International Forum (in Marunouchi between Tokyo Station and Yurakucho Station). Best of all, it’s only 2 blocks away from my hotel, the Peninsula Tokyo.
The burgers, fries, and experience is as good and even better than in NYC. I’ve fallen in love again with Shake Shack!
