#turkcell #simcardinturkey #turkcellinternethilesi

Choosing your Turkcell tourist pack,

If you're traveling to Turkey as a tourist, the best SIM card to buy would likely be a prepaid option from one of the country's main mobile providers, such as Turkcell, Vodafone, or Turk Telekom. These companies offer a variety of plans with different amounts of data, call, and text allowances, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs. Additionally, they have good coverage throughout the country and offer affordable prices. Be sure to bring your passport or other form of identification when purchasing a SIM card, as they are typically required.

Turkcell is one of the largest mobile service providers in Turkey, and they offer a variety of prepaid SIM card options for tourists visiting the country. Some of the features and benefits of Turkcell SIM cards include:

Affordable prices: Turkcell offers a variety of prepaid plans with different amounts of data, call, and text allowances at competitive prices.

Good coverage: Turkcell has a wide network coverage across Turkey, so you can stay connected in most areas of the country.

Easy to purchase: Turkcell SIM cards can be easily purchased at official Turkcell dealers and authorized resellers, and sometimes at the airport.

Various options: Turkcell offers different packages with different prices and data allowances, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs.

Additional services: Turkcell also offers various additional services like international roaming, internet packages, and more.

It's worth noting that, as with all mobile providers, Turkcell's coverage and prices may vary depending on where you're located in Turkey, so it's always a good idea to do your research and compare different options before making a purchase.

Although The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) claims to offer free WiFi from more than five thousand points, even local citizens have difficulties connecting many times. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible for foreigners to take advantage of it. Therefore, during your visit to Istanbul, you can either take advantage of the wifi facilities of places such as cafes and hotels, or you need to get a special gsm line for the trip.

There are also companies that provide phone and internet services to many countries. But I don't know anything about these. In this video, I will give you information about the features and prices of SIM cards offered by gsm companies operating in Turkiye for tourists.

All SIM cards in Türkiye are for one month. The line closes after three months. Here you can see the services, features and prices offered by the four companies.

I have viewed the sales branches of these four companies in the tourist area for you. You can also find the locations of the branches in the description of the video.

Please don't forget:
Airports can often be much more expensive than regular places ;)

PTT:
The sales point is right next to the Museum Card counter next to Hagia Sophia.

You can also reach it from the big post office in Eminönü/Sirkeci.

TurkCell:
Türkcell branch is right next to Cemberlitas (Column of Constantine).

Türk Telekom:
On the way from Beyazit Tram station to Sultanahmet, it's on the left.

Vodafone:
Right across the Beyazit Tram station.

Complete Guide to Istanbul's Public Transit | PROOF it is EASY to get almost anywhere in Istanbul!

.......................

Istanbul is a huge city that is very spread out. If you are planning a trip here, it is really best you get comfortable with the public transportation options in order to most effectively get around the city.

From the ferries, to the metro, the tram, and the buses, we feel like it is very easy to get pretty much anywhere in the city using public transit. In this video we go into great detail on Istanbul's public transportation. But instead of just telling you about each of the options, we are going to SHOW you... not only that, but we turn it into a bit of a game.

We put together a list of some of the top attractions in Istanbul. These sites are spread out all around the city and instead of pre-planning a route that would actually make sense -- we draw names out of a hat to determine which site we visit and when. That way we can really prove that Istanbul's public transit systems are effective, efficient and reliable getting from A to B, no matter where you are in the city (for the most part ;)).

Here are some websites you might find helpful when navigating the public transit in Istanbul:

There are two kind of public transport cards in Istanbul for tourists: “Istanbulkart” and “Istanbul City Card.” You can get these cards at airport or city centre on machines with your credit card or cash in Turkish Lira.

Istanbulkart
To get this card you have to pay first a card fee (50 TL, in May 2023). Then you have to charge money on it with a machine. The charge limit for one month is 500 TL (in May 2023). If this card is not used for 2 years, it becomes out of use.
In order to use the card in a transportation vehicle, you must have your card swiped. A one ride takes 9.90 Turkish lira (May 2023).
Istanbulkart is valid in buses, funicular, metrobus, metro, suburban trains, ferry, tram, İstanbul metropolitan municipality social facilities, public toilets, some markets (Migros, Carrefour…).
If there’s money on your card, you can’t get it back, but you can use it on markets or social facilities.

Istanbul City Card
Istanbul City Card is a prepaid public transportation card that gives you unlimited access to public transportation for the number of days you choose: 1, 3, 5, 7, 15.

1 DAY UNLIMITED € 25
3 DAYS UNLIMITED € 35
5 DAYS UNLIMITED € 44
7 DAYS UNLIMITED € 52
15 DAYS UNLIMITED € 78

You can use it like the “IstanbulKart.” The only difference is, that this “Istanbul City card” is unlimited for one person.

*** Important announcement ***
Now you can use public transportation vehicles (except MARMARAY) without Istanbulkart or Istanbul City Card, only with your contactless credit card. Of course, Istanbulkart or Istanbul City Card is cheaper. But it is also a great advantage to be able to use the contactless credit card when those cards are not available.

???????? Where to stay in Istanbul Part 1? Don't stay by the Blue Mosque!

IMPORTANT: This video is just a guide, I don't know if everybody has the same thoughts as me so please do your own research. I prefer the asian side because it's less touristy. However there is nothing there for tourists, it depends if you want to see sights or just take in Istanbul like a local.

In this video i will describe the areas around central Istanbul and give you tips on where to stay. I suggest not staying in Sultan Ahmet like most tourists. The area is beautiful but the food is bad and expensive and everything has tourist prices. Staying there for a few days is fine, but not more than that.

BEST VIEW OF ISTANBUL | Cheapest Mobile SIM in Turkey

&
The cheapest fare from Europe to Asia is 30 Rupees. Sounds interesting! But this is what people pay to travel between Asia and Europe in Istanbul. Ferry ticket cost for Uskudar is 2.6 Lira which comes to around 30 Indian Rupees. The water body is called Bosphorus which divides Istanbul into two parts. Uskudar is on the Asian side of Istanbul. So if you are looking for a cheap Bosphorus tour then take Istanbul Ferry tour which I have shown in this video. This is the cheapest way to feel the Bosphorus ferry trip in Istanbul. After the Bosphorus ride, I went to visit çamlıca hill also called çamlıca tepesi in Turkish. Camlica Tepesi is the highest point in Istanbul so this is the best viewpoint in Istanbul to get panoramic views of the city. I visited in the evening and found it is the best sunset point in Istanbul. Watch this video to know how to reach Uskudar on a ferry and thereafter how to reach Camlica Tepesi. Also, I purchased a local sim from Turk Telecom for 80 Lira which was the cheapest sim price in Istanbul until then.
