????️ CAFFE CASTRONI (International Food Store) | Searching for things to do in Rome and things to bring home with you after your Italian vacation? Shop here at Caffè Castroni! We like to buy Sicilian chocolate and loads of herbs (garlic, onion, basil, pizza seasoning, rosemary, herbs de Provence, etc.).
???? LE CARRÉ FRANÇAIS | Wait a minute, aren’t we supposed to be eating Italian cuisine in Rome, Italy? Yes, but this may be the best French food outside of France, so add it to your list of places to eat in Rome! Tip: try a croissant, macaron, and whatever type of bread looks the best!
???? ANTICO FORNO ROSCIOLI | Need a quick lunch in Rome? Grab some take-away from Roscioli! Here’s what we suggest: cacio e pepe (this may be the best pasta in Rome) and focaccia.
☕ SANT’ EUSTACHIO IL CAFFÈ | Another coffee spot? Italians love their coffee, and this is a local hotspot even though it’s one block from the Pantheon. Tip: It’s cheaper if you stand at the bar to drink your coffee, but it’s worth the extra cost to sit at a table and people watch!
???? FRIGIDARIUM GELATERIA | Italians love coffee AND gelato (Italian ice cream)! And Jana is a self-proclaimed gelato connoisseur, so trust her opinion that this is one of the best gelaterias in Rome!
???? BISCOTTIFICIO ARTIGIANO INNOCENTI | If gelato doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, maybe some cookies from this bakery will! We have been here so many times and love to see the same lady behind the counter. Everything here is handmade, and it'a all yummy. If they have any homemade crackers left, definitely grab those.
???? DOPPIOZEROO APERITIVO | Aperitivo is a way of life in Rome, Italy (and really all of Italy). Here’s how it works: buy a drink and get free appetizers to go with it. Our suggestion: aperol spritz. It’s the orange drink that you’ll spot everywhere around 6pm.

We spent a week in Rome eating all kinds of delicious Roman food and we thought we'd share our wonderful experiences with a compilation of the top 10 restaurants in Rome that we enjoyed the most during our visit. From to-die-for Roman pasta and pizzas to Italian classics such as gelato, espresso, and panini, Rome is bound to have a place for every palate so watch on to find out more!

In this vlog my family and I eat and explore our way through the eternal city. Join my fiancé and I, as well as my sister Juls and her fiancé in Rome for 6 days. When you travel to Italy and through Rome in particular, you might ask yourself: What are the best things to eat in Rome? What are the best restaurants in Rome? What are the best gelaterias of Rome? Rome is full of history, culture, delicious food, sights and sounds, I am happy to show you the BEST of Rome Italy! In this one we explore all the famous spots such as the fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, pizza Navona, pantheon, various churches of rome, especially San Pietro, the Vatican Museum, the Colosseum inside, as well as the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Day 14 on our Round The World Trip for Food: Rome, Italy - On our very first day in Rome, we set off early in the morning to see some of the most famous attractions in Rome, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. After doing some more sightseeing and having lunch, we had an amazing Roman food at a restaurant in Rome called Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino.
00:37 Breakfast at the hotel - To begin the day of sightseeing in Rome, we had breakfast at the hotel, and did the final planning of the day.
2:12 Colosseum - One of the most important and well recognized attractions in Rome is the Colosseum and we arrived pretty early to get in, and I also had pre-purchased my tickets online to attempt to beat the crowds and not have to waste time waiting in line. It worked well, and as soon as the Colosseum opened, we went through security and got in. It was an amazing sight to see, especially because it was so quiet when we arrived.
3:51 Roman Forum and Palatine Hill - Locate in the same area as the Colosseum is the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, and so that’s where we went next. Again, seeing the ancient ruins of Rome was truly spectacular.
5:48 Trattoria Luzzi - I wasn’t quite sure where to eat lunch, and located right around these famous attractions in Rome, there are a lot of expensive, and probably not so good restaurants. We decided to go check out a restaurant called Trattoria Luzzi, just down the road from the Colosseum on the opposite side of the road. I ordered Trippa Alla Romana, a Roman tripe dish and also a pasta of Amatriciana. Overall, the food was good, and it was a friendly little restaurant and the location was good. Total price - 21 EUR ($23.47).
10:31 Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano - After lunch we headed to Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, a huge basilica in Rome. Right across the plaza is Scala Sancta, a small chapel with a 28 step staircase where Jesus is believed to have ascended.
13:25 Gelateria Valentino - I don’t know of anyone that goes to Rome without eating some gelato, and right around the Trevi fountain area of Rome, you’ll find a lot of gelato spots. We tried Gelateria Valentino. Gelato - 3 EUR ($3.35)
14:50 Trevi Fountain - Another one of the most iconic attractions in Rome is the Trevi fountain. We didn’t spend too much time there, but it is pretty cool to see in person.
16:25 Amazing Italian Roman food at Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant - For dinner, my wife and I met up with Valentina and Antonio. After walking through the amazing narrow lanes of Rome, we navigated our way to Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant, where they had made a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is exactly what you want in a classic Roman Italian food restaurant, a family style restaurant that offers an abundance of Roman dishes. We first started with some types of Roman pasta including cacio e pepe, and carbonara, all of which were incredible - the best pastas I’ve ever had. Then we moved on the an amazing assortment of main Italian food dishes, including veal, lamb, and so many other amazing dishes. It was an Italian food meal like I’ve never had before. Most of the dishes were Roman food style. Thank you Valentina and Antonio for the amazing dinner!
Day 14 in Rome was an amazing day of visiting some of the most famous attractions in Rome and eating some incredibly delicious Italian food!

Rome, Italy, is one of Europe’s top tourist destinations, filled with incredible ancient ruins, beautiful monuments and delicious food. Most people don’t experience true Roman life in Rome, sticking to the well trodden tourist path, when in Rome however, it truly pays to do as the Romans do, so I hope this video is helpful for those who want to appreciate the true essence of Rome! I show you how to breakfast like a Roman by starting the day off with cappucino and cornetto at a local Roman cafe, I also try some of the famous Roman pastas like cacio e pepe and pasta alla gricia at small local Roman trattorias. When in Rome a visit to the market is a must, I buy some fresh produce and take it to the beautiful villa doria pamphili for a roman picnic. I also show you how best to enjoy Rome's majestic ancient monuments like the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, and pantheon, at night when the streets are empty!

Street food in Italy - In this video, I will take you on a huge Italian street food tour to eat the best food in Rome, Italy.
To start our street food tour in Rome, Italy, we went to Trastevere to have the traditional pasta Carbonara and Amatriciana and finishing our meal with an amazing Tiramisu.
Moving on with our street food tour in Rome, Italy, we went for Italian Gelato.
After walking around Rome for a while, we ended up having an aperitif while enjoying the beautiful Colosseo.
To end the first day of our street food tour in Rome, Italy, we went for another Roman classic, Baccala' or salted cod.
The following day, to begin our street food tour in Rome, Italy, we went to a local coffee shop and Patisserie to have an iconic breakfast, cappuccino and Maritozzo con la panna.
Later on, we headed to Campo de' Fiori to have some charcuterie, a salumi and cheese platter.
To continue our street food tour in Rome, Italy, we had another Italian specialty, sandwich with Porchetta.
To end our second day of eating street food in Italy, we went to Tiburtina area to have a proprer Italian dinner, bruschette and more pasta.
To complete our 3 day full of eating street food in Italy, we went to one of the most popular pizzeria al taglio in Rome to try their famous pizza.
