NINGALOO REEF, AUSTRALIA - Better than GREAT BARRIER? Road Trip CORAL BAY

The Great Barrier Reef is world famous and perhaps the most beautiful reef in the world. But do you also know the reef on the other side? The Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia is perhaps just as beautiful! Because it is very remote and quiet here, you can make an amazing road trip through the dunes by car. We also snorkel all alone in the crystal clear blue water, among colored fish and sea turtles. This is perhaps the most beautiful natural place in the whole world.

Australia is a paradise for every traveller. The gigantic country is full of wild animals, beautiful natural places and cultural highlights. After a previous trip along the east coast of Australia, we now visit the west coast in the province of Western Australia. And how? We take the 4x4 with two rooftop tents and head out into the great outdoors. Earlier you saw us drive to the southwestern tip of Australia in Margaret River and we also visited the metropolis of Perth with its beautiful skyline. We then visited Fremantle, the Pinnacles, Geraldton, the pink Hutt Lagoon, the outback in Kalbarri National Park and the World Heritage Site of Shark Bay. After this part in Ningaloo and the Coral Bay we will visit Exmouth, Cape Range National Park, Karijini National Park, Port Headland, 80 Mile Beach, Cape Keraudren and Broome.

We make our trip through Australia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The next continent Australia is already our nineteenth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in Australia, from Perth to Broome and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to the Philippines and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or

EXMOUTH, AUSTRALIA - North West CAPE & NINGALOO: Road Trip CANYONS & Snorkeling

Exmouth is located on the famous Ningaloo Reef, the counterpart of the Great Barrier Reef which lies on the eastern side of Australia. On the west side is a beautiful underwater world full of tropical fish, sharks and sea turtles. On the North West Cape in Western Australia we drive to this remote place and also visit the Cape Range National Park. In hundreds of kilometers there is no life to be seen, but there are deep canyons, desert landscapes, special animals and blue bays full of underwater life.

Australia is a paradise for every traveller. The gigantic country is full of wild animals, beautiful natural places and cultural highlights. After a previous trip along the east coast of Australia, we now visit the west coast in the province of Western Australia. And how? About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Best of Exmouth, Western Australia

The small town of Exmouth lies on the north west cape of Western Australia and is best known for its proximity to the Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park. It is a tender port, but there is a free shuttle that will transport cruise passengers from the marina into town where there are a few shops, cafes, a brew pub, grocery store and bank. The Ningaloo Center is a hub for wifi, an aquarium and information about the reef. The art gallery features local artists, and tourists enjoy photos with the giant prawn statue. For a beach close to the cruise ship, visitors can walk across the parking lot and down the jetty to Town Beach. There isn’t a reef or any shade, but there are fish and rays around the rocks of the jetty. Snorkeling, diving and swimming with migrating whale sharks on the Ningaloo reef are popular activities. For those seeking an adventure on land, the Smartreka app is a must for hiking in any of Western Australia’s national parks. Cape Range is known for it’s red, rocky gorges, sheer cliffs and kangaroos. Exmouth, Western Australia is where the Range meets the Reef.
