Considering how few there were built, the A340-500 had a big impact on the world of aviation. For years it operated the world's longest flight from Singapore to Newark. But since the introduction of more efficient ultra long-range planes, most of the A340-500s were retired. This left Azerbaijan Airlines as the world's last commercial operator.

The Airbus A340-500 is a very rare airplane. Only 34 were built and delivered. There is only 1 airline that you can still fly on it and that’s Azerbaijan Airlines.

Azerbaijan Airlines full flight experience, from Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) as flight J2 11, onboard the Airbus A340-500 aircraft.
With a flight time of 2 hours and 26 minutes, a hot meal with a choice of two options is served with a choice of drink. A snack is also offered together with coffee and tea. The meal quantity is generous. The views enroute of Iran's natural beauty is spectacular, which compensates for the rather slow and limited inflight entertainment offered.
