Avoid This Bolivian Taxi Driver!

LATEST MERCH:
???????? When I order a taxi I don't want much. I don't need a fancy car or even decent music. What I do expect however is that the driver will at least know where he is going! And then not overcharge me at the end of the ride. Unfortunately I met this guy and, well see for yourself...

Avoid This Taxi Scam In Cancun!

Having been to Cancun a few times already, I was aware of the exorbitant prices taxis charge at the airport, and wanted to make sure I didn't fall for their trap again.

The only issue is, my options were either to 1. try and bargain the price down to something more reasonable, 2. do a 7 hour walk to my AirBNB with all my luggage or 3. walk outside of the range where Ubers are banned and call one for a much cheaper price.

To my surprise, none of the above 3 options came to pass. Enjoy!

10 Things NOT To Do in Bolivia - Part 1

Get more Tips here!

As the most elevated country in the continent, Bolivia offers travelers the most amazing panoramic views from its highest peaks. Definitely DO that. But right now we'll be taking a look at 10 things you should NOT do in Bolivia.

1. Don't Travel Without Toilet Paper
It doesn't matter if you're in a decent hotel, or a fine restaurant. You'll soon realize that toilet paper is a hot commodity in most cities. Also make sure you don't flush the paper, it should always be tossed in the trashcan instead.

2. Don't Enter a Bus Without Saying Hello
The locals will always enter by greeting the rest of the passengers buenos dias” (good day) or “buenas tardes” (good afternoon). Brush up on your Spanish so you can recite the greetings, as well!

3. Don't Explore Without a Four-Wheel Drive Vehicle
When you head outside of the major cities, it's best to travel in a four-wheel drive vehicle. You'll be faced with many sub-par roads, including hazardous highways without shoulders, lack of fencing and barriers.

4. Don't Carry Large Notes
We usually say this so that you don't become the target of a crime. However, in Bolivia, the reason is that a lot of the vendors don't carry change. So if a taxi ride costs you 10 Bs and you hand the driver a 20, good luck getting any change back.

5. Don't Get in a Taxi With No Signage
According to travel advisories, (DOS) crimes that take place in taxi cabs are a huge problem in Bolivia. Many criminals drive around in cars that look like taxis, and once a tourist enters the vehicle, they're mugged of their money and belongings. Take a radio taxi and make sure the vehicle has clear signage with the business name, address, and telephone number on the roof.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of Things NOT To Do in Bolivia!

Solo In Bolivia's Most Dangerous Hood

LATEST MERCH:
???????? South America has a reputation for danger and violence. And so whilst on my short stay in Bolivia I decided to take a cable car up to El Alto which is a part of La Paz known by locals as a place for theft and violence. Would I survive with my camera? Watch and find out...

Avoid this tourist SCAM in Colombo, Sri Lanka. ????????

When travelling in Sri Lanka as a foreigner you'll no doubt be approached by men who try to appear as friendly citizens. They will attempt to coax you to somewhere, such as a beautiful temple that you must go and see. Watch as this man follows me through the streets, desperately trying to convince me to go see the (fake) Tsunami Temple, despite me showing zero interest in it.

These scammers and their cheap tricks are not representative of the genuine good people of Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, as foreigner, they will be seeking you out so it would be easy to think that every local is bad when in fact it's a very small number of bad people.

AVOID Kurt Caz in Cuba!????????

I need to share something that has been haunting me since my recent trip to Cuba. I came across a crazy situation involving the YouTuber, Kurt Caz, and I feel that I must speak up about it. Please bear with me as I'm sharing with you the truth...

Just a couple of months ago, Kurt began posting Cuban videos on Fb,Youtube, tiktok etc that went viral, receiving thousands of shares and views. These videos had a crazy impact on the Cuban people, leaving them shocked and deeply affected.

I'm sad to say this, but so many people in Cuba hate him now. People have been probably imprisoned, and they will likely remain behind bars for years, all because he chose to expose them for his own gain $$.

Even a police officer confessed to me that many of the individuals he exposed are no longer free!!! (I hope it's not true)

During my two-week stay in Cuba, I heard the pain and anger firsthand from locals who couldn't even express their true feelings on my camera. They feared how their words might be edited and worried that it could be perceived as hatred towards the government, risking their own freedom.

Every day wherever I was going, because I was also filming, I listened to their stories, witnessing their hate towards Kurt. .

And really makes no freaking sense!!

Guys you need to understand that Cuba is a unique country!!!!

Why would someone expose these Cuban people who struggle to survive on meager wages?

As YouTubers, we often expose scammers, and I don't support scams or illegal activities. I will personally do the same thing if someone scams me in another country!!

But exposing a scammer in India or Brazil is different from exposing illegal activities in Cuba. In India, the scammer may be upset about being exposed, but the government or police won't take drastic action against them. In Colombia too, filming prostitutes is permissible as it is legal there.

But in Cuba?????
These people are immediately sent to jail for yeaaaars!!

How can a Kurt Caz sleep well at night knowing that he filmed someone for a minute, made thousands of dollars from it, and that poor illegal person will end up spending many years behind bars?

These girls make a mere $10 a month, while he makes thousands from his videos, essentially sealing their fate in prison for years to come. And he even f**cking approached them!!
They didn't bother him!! They didn't harass him.He knew exactly what he was doing and he even said it on his video!!!

Unless you hate humanity…You simply can’t do that!!!

In Cuba, I got scammed within the first hour ($30 for a mojito). I filmed the whole experience and it could easily go viral! Just walking around Havana for 15 minutes, you'll find many scammers, prostitutes, currency exchangers, and illegal cigar sellers. They're everywhere! They come to you; you don't have to seek them out.

But remember, this is Cuba, not the USA or Brazil. In Cuba, anyone who takes advantage of a tourist faces crazy consequences. So, what am I supposed to do?

Expose them??

It's heartbreaking to know that these people are barely making $12 a month, while a simple meal costs $20! They engage in illegal activities simply to survive and put food on the table. They'll never become wealthy.

I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing that I made thousands of a poor Cuban scammer..and on the top of that!! I send him to PRISON for Years!! That’s f insane!!

Some people are simply evil. I don't claim to be an angel or perfect, but certain actions are universally condemned unless one harbors hatred towards humanity.

Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of meeting Kurt in person, and I can assure you that he fully hates anyone who doesn't worship him, especially women.

Please understand that I'm not driven by envy or animosity, regardless of his 2 million followers or wealth. It pains me deeply that I once cared for him, supported him, and loved him. He is aware of the impact I’ve had on his life.

I really hope that karma intervenes.

I feel disgusted knowing how Kurt deliberately shared these videos across various platforms: YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Facebook, and even Facebook Reels.

And finally, I want you to know that I really didn't want to post this video. I have my own reasons for not liking Kurt, and I never planned to make a video targeting him. I really hate drama or starting fights on YouTube. All I wanted was to focus on my work and keep making videos.

But when I saw what happened and how Kurt's videos affected the people of Cuba, hearing their stories and seeing their fear of speaking up... It really upset me. And then seeing Kurt share those videos everywhere and the possibility of other YouTubers following suit just for more views... It put me in a tough spot.

Even though it goes against what I wanted, I have a responsibility as a man and as a creator to tell the truth. I have to speak up, even if it means facing the anger from his fans or you guys!

Avoid this driver in Kosovo ????????

When you buy a bus ticket, you expect your bus driver to bring you from A to Z, in this case from Tirana, Albania, to Prizren, Kosovo, but life apparently doesn't let you do so. We started in Tirana with one bus driver, then something happened on the away on the bus next to ours and we had to exchange bus and driver just before the border with Kosovo. Once crossed the border, Prizren was very close to us, but we never got there and instead this bus driver brought us to... Avoid this bus driver because he's a liar. I don't care about the money lost, but about the time lost and about the fact that he lied. But anyway, I don't want him to lose his job, but just to get ok at it. In the future, more tourists will come to Albania and Kosovo and I don't want them to end up like us.
By the way, the title of this video was inspired by bald and bankrupt vlog: Avoid This Bolivian Taxi Driver!
I don't want this driver to lose his job. This day to me was just another learning experience for both us and him. Some rules may differ from country to country: in Europe usually you can't smoke inside a closed space unless it's a specific area, but the parents of the kids told him nothing, so I don't know how's the situation there.
What bothered me is that he lied to us: when we changed bus I was filming the whole time and he asked nothing. Later at the border, when they took our passports, he took our tickets and wrote us the ticket to go back to Tirana the next day. On both tickets, the correct location was written.
We simply didn't know that you should remind a driver to stop in a city which was written on the ticket. We simply didn't know that otherwise he would drive straight to the capital.
Hopefully, he'll be more careful next time and if you'll travel there, you'll be careful too :)

Suggestions for future trips:
1) Don't worry if you look dumb, ask the same questions million times;
2) Do not expect a bus to stop In a city even if planned, tell the driver to do it;
3) Smile, read, repeat

Shopping for Llamas in Bolivia ????????

■ BOLIVIA, LA PAZ: The Llama is Bolivia's national animal. They bring good luck and is thus greatly revered amongst the populace. It may this seem strange that Llama corpses are sold in the streets of La Paz. Naturally this was something I had to investigate... by buying my very own Llama to take home as a good luck charm. But can I bring it to Europe? And would Bald allow it in the hotel room?

The Side of Peru They Don't Show ????????

Day One:
After renting a car in Lima, Stephan and I decided to go on a journey from Lima to Cusco which should of taken 20 Hours.
That didn't go as planned.
This is the Peru they don't show.

Peru isn't what I expected ????????

■ PERU, CUSCO; After Bolivia I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Peru. But given the high rates for hotels I did suspect Peru to be far more developed and better at setting their cities up for tourism. Once I got past a ridiculously inefficient immigration system, my initial thoughts were confirmed.

Peru, or at least Cusco, is lightyears ahead when it comes to development of its tourism sector compared to her neighbor to the east. Given the proximity of this city to one of the world's most sought after tourist attractions, Machu Pichu, that should come as no surprise but still I didn't expect Peruvians and the architecture of Cusco to be as pleasant as they both are.

So after finding a taxi and something to eat it was time to check-in to my hotel. Even hostels were quite pricey when I checked on Booking.com so I knew that a hotel room even in the $60+ category wouldn't mean much. I therefore opted for a boutique hotel at just under $70. But was it worth it?

A Short Film About Buying A Bolivian Hat ( Not Clickbait! )

LATEST MERCH:
???????? Not every endeavour can be a work of art. David Bowie wrote the song Heroes but also The Laughing Gnome...Take this upload for example. Literally nothing interesting happens in it, just me being miserable in the rain and I'm even somewhat ashamed to upload it, but it's 3am in Bolivia and I can't sleep due to the jet lag. Even the shitty Adam Sandler movie I just watched on Netflix has not helped me fall sleep. So I thought why not stick something up and read some comments. Maybe someone will love it and think it's the greatest video ever made on youtube or maybe you have jet lag too and want to kill 10 minutes of your time instead of just lying there staring at the ceiling all night wondering if you will ever nod off and what the meaning of life is. Or maybe you are on the toilet having your morning pooh before going to work and would like to see a bald man randomly buy a bowler hat in South America to pass the time. I don't which one of those is you know but there you go. Have a great day/night/pooh everyone. Oh and in case you want to know, the f*king hat cost me $65!!! Unbelievable.
