We're off on our first one-way cruise adventure aboard the Carnival Breeze for its repositioning from Galveston, Texas to Port Canaveral, Florida! We sailed from September 16-30, 2018 on a 14-Day Southern Caribbean itinerary with stops in Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica, and Sint Maarten. This was a Carnival Journeys cruise, with all sorts of extra throwback fun to be had...

Aruba's KUKOO KUNUKU Excursion, Oranjestad. Holland America Rotterdam
We booked the Kukoo Kunuku Party Bus tour through Holland America that would take us on a fun-filled tour past Arashi Beach, to the 1st Catholic Chapel in Aruba (built in 1715), the California Lighthouse and then 2 hours at beautiful Palm Beach. This was an early tour beginning at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and picked us up right outside the ship, and we had plenty of time after a quick lunch on board to enjoy Downtown Oranjestad as well.
Aruba is 18 miles North of Venezuela and is part of the ABC Islands. It is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This port is usually available on the longer cruises due to the distance from the United States.

If you are ever in Aruba and want to have a good time check out the KuKoo Kunuku Party bus tour. Lesley was our guide and was great! The crowd started out a little slow and timid but by the time it was over we were all throwing down. He loved showing us the Aruba Rollercoasters---roundabouts are all over Aruba and he would go around each one several times wide open! Hilarious in an old school bus. I would definitely do this again.
