Ao Nang is a beautiful and relaxing place. It has plenty of restaurants, shopping and nightlife, great hotels and resorts, and it's a great place to base yourself to explore the Krabi islands and the rest of Krabi Thailand. There are plenty of nightclubs and bars and some of the best Krabi nightlife is in Ao Nang. You’ll find a huge range of delicious Thai food and Thai cuisine in any Thai restaurant there, and there’s loads of awesome Thai street food outside on the streets. There's also restaurants and cuisine from all around the world. Ao Nang is also home to some awesome markets with cheap shopping and there are loads of tours you can do from there: kayaking, island hopping, rock climbing, temples, national parks, waterfalls … Ao Nang has it all! Ao Nang is about 15 minutes from Railay Beach, 50 minutes from Koh Phi Phi Island, 20 minutes from Krabi Town and 2.5 hours from Phuket Thailand by road or sea.

AO NANG, Krabi Nightlife - Bars, Street Food and Shopping
Ao Nang nightlife is lively and fun. You can witness amazing sunsets at Ao Nang Beach. When the sun goes down in this small beach town located in Krabi, Thailand the town starts to come alive.
There's plenty for you to see and do. If you want to do some shopping there's may souvenirs, clothes, hats, bags, snorkels and much more for you to choose from. There's a wide range of restaurants offering a selection of cuisines including Thai, Mexican, Indian and Street food.
If you're looking for a lively evening you can head to CenterPoint. This is a complex with several bars inside. It is on three floors and you can dance the night here and often get to see a fire show. Nearby there are a few venues with live music. If you want to spend the evening playing pool and chatting with lots of locals girls then you can head to Soi RCA. .

Tonight we went to the landmark night market in Ao Nang Krabi.
This was such a good market, it was well set out with so many affordable street food options. They also do a fire show, I believe every night from the same guys as our Railay Beach video (watch that video here
We had an excellent night at this market, we would definitely suggest checking this one out!

10. Enjoy the Ao Nang beaches & sunset
Ao Nang Beach is a great place to admire the Andaman sea, take a dip, and watch the sunset.
9. Explore the food & nightlife at Ao Nang
The Soi RCA Entertainment area is the place to go if you’re looking for a late night party.
8. Go For an Island-Hopping Tour
We did a day trip by longtail boat, covering 4 islands. There were multiple stops for swimming and snorkeling and a stop at Railay Beach.

7. Hike the Wat Tham Sua
Sitting right outside of Krabi Town, the Tiger Cave Temple is certainly worth a visit. Most visitors come to climb the 1,260 steps to the top of the hill.
6. Explore Thung Teao Forest Natural Park
There is a short boardwalk trail that takes you to three different pools in the middle of the jungle: Crystal Pool, Emerald Pool, and the Blue Pool.
5. Dip into the Krabi Hot Springs
Cut into smooth rocks, the hot springs flow from deep rooted thermal springs that are located inside volcanic chambers.

4. Krabi Town Weekend Night Market
Krabi Town is the capital of Krabi. And like many other big towns in Thailand, there is a local night market here. Every Friday to Sunday from 4 to 10 PM the market is set up next to the Chao Fah Pier.
3. Go on a boat tour to Koh Phi Phi
Koh Phi Phi are undoubtedly Krabi’s most popular islands to visit. From Ao Nang, you can join a full-day speedboat tour to the islands, which are encircled with sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and spectacular natural scenery.

2. Relax a few days at Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta Yai is an island about a 3 hour drive away from Ao Nang. With a variety of unspoiled beaches, it’s a great place to relax. There are also certified diving schools offering diving and snorkeling trips to nearby islands and reefs.

Thai street food and shopping every Wednesday evening in Ao Nang. Thai street food is some of my favourite Thai cuisine, and there is so much variety of street food in Thailand! All the food is cooked fresh, as the vendors sell it, and as I mentioned, it is truly delicious! There are lots of influences from Chinese food in Thai cuisine so you will find many familiar flavours when eating Thai food.
There is a different Thai food market open every day of the week in Ao Nang Krabi Thailand. This market is called Klong Haeng Walking Street or Nopparattani Market. It is open Wednesday evenings from 4:00 till 7:30PM and is near the Ao Nang Muay Thai Stadium, behind Nopparat Thara Beach. The Google Maps location is:
This market in Ao Nang is a great place to sample some of the amazing Krabi street food that's available. The market is easy to find on the maps that you can find in Ao Nang at any of the hundreds of tour shops. I love the markets, in my opinion seeing them is one of the best things to do in Ao Nang Krabi Thailand.

Thai Street Food is a must to try if you’re on holidays in Thailand. Thailand food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. In this video my family and I take you on a tour of all the markets in Ao Nang Krabi Thailand in 2024. There are different night markets and local markets every day in Ao Nang offering loads of choices in street food, Thai restaurants, shopping and live entertainment. If you visit Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand the markets are a must!

There are different markets and night markets every day in Ao Nang and there are also others in the towns nearby, so keep an eye out if you’re traveling around the area. I personally think seeing the markets is one of the best things to do in Krabi Thailand!
Most of the markets sell very similar items: Fresh foods, fruit & vegetables, meat & seafood, prepared local Thai foods & street food, souvenirs, clothes, shoes, kitchen appliances as well as many other things. The day and night markets are a great place to shop and to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand, and they're fun places to visit. They're not like your Asian Supermarket or Oriental grocery store back home! And they're a great place to try traditional Thai foods, authentic Thai cuisine, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai foods in Thailand. Best of all, the shopping is fun and the food is cheap! Eating at markets is a great way to save money on your Thailand holidays or while you tour Thailand. Love Asian food? Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, it's one of the best things to do!
Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.

This was one night my family and I stayed in Ao Nang, staying at the Holiday Inn Express in September 2017. In the video I’ll give you a bit of a tour of Ao Nang, some tips on food, how to get around and things to do in and around Ao Nang. Ao Nang is a beautiful and relaxing place. It has plenty of restaurants, shopping and nightlife, great hotels and resorts, and it's a great place to base yourself to explore the Krabi islands and the rest of Krabi Thailand. There are plenty of nightclubs and bars and some of the best Krabi nightlife is in Ao Nang. You’ll find a huge range of delicious Thai food and Thai cuisine in any Thai restaurant there, and there’s loads of awesome Thai street food outside on the streets. There's also restaurants and cuisine from all around the world, everything from Swedish to Chinese food. Ao Nang is also home to some awesome markets with cheap shopping and there are loads of tours you can do from there: kayaking, island hopping, rock climbing, temples, national parks, waterfalls … Ao Nang has it all! Ao Nang is about 15 minutes from Railay Beach, 50 minutes from Koh Phi Phi Island, 20 minutes from Krabi Town and 2.5 hours from Phuket Thailand by road or sea.

Krabi is a beautiful and relaxing place and its capital, Krabi Town, is an interesting little town. It has plenty of restaurants, shopping and nightlife, some great hotels and resorts, and it's an ideal place to base yourself to explore the Krabi islands and the rest of Krabi Thailand. There is plenty of nightlife with nightclubs, International & Thai restaurants and bars, and you’ll find a different night market open every night of the week. One of the things Krabi Town is best known for is its Krabi Walking Street Night Market which is open every weekend. You’ll find a huge range of delicious Thai food and Thai cuisine in any Thai restaurant in Krabi Town and there’s loads of awesome Thai street food outside on the streets and at the markets. There are loads of Krabi tours you can do from there: kayaking, island hopping, rock climbing, temples, national parks, waterfalls … Krabi has it all! Krabi Town is about 15 minutes from Railay Beach, 50 minutes from Koh Phi Phi Island and 2.5 hours from Phuket by boat; or 20 minutes from Ao Nang and 2.5 hours from Phuket by road or sea.
