A look at the 2017 Anguilla Summer Festival
The 2017 Anguilla Summer Festival saw a host of performances such as R. City, Better Band, regional artists, local bands and international performers.
Not just limited to music, it included some of the best parties you would find, such as, Eyes Wide Shut. Sporting activities like the national sport boat race are also a spectacle to witness.
Don't forget the pageants and the exuberant talents which are presented at Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant and Scotiabank Talented Teen.
Also, Calypso, private events and the Caribbean Beach Party come together to create more than a week of total epicness!

Anguilla: Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and directly north of Saint Martin. The territory consists of the main island of Anguilla, approximately 16 miles (26 km) long by 3 miles (4.8 km) wide at its widest point, together with a number of much smaller islands and cays with no permanent population. The islands capital is The Valley. The total land area of the territory is 35 square miles (91 km2), with a population of approximately 14,764 (2016 estimate). Sailing St Martin 2017 - Prickly Pear Cay and Anguilla
We finally got on the boat on Saturday night at 5:00 pm. We were warmly greeted by our Captain Dominic and Chef Hugo. We chose to have a crew on board this trip to make it a truly relaxing vacation.
We have bareboated throughout the Caribbean the last 20 years and enjoyed that too. This trip we left all the navigation and cooking up to crew. Festiva Sailing Vacations is an all inclusive charter so it is well worth the price.
On Sunday we headed for Prickly Pear Cay which is just northeast of Anguilla. It was a fun lunch stop to walk the beach, swim, snorkel and relax. We then pulled anchor and headed back to the north shore of Anguilla where we anchored for the night.
