WHO KNEW Bangladesh was THIS BEAUTIFUL?! Watching the sunrise from our boat as we drifted the floating local market is our favorite memory in Bangladesh.
After spending a couple days in the crazy capital of Dhaka, we took a 100 year old rocket paddle steamer boat overnight to the city of Barisal where we woke up before sunrise to catch all the action at the local river market!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

VILLAGE MARKET is a popular market in Bangladesh that offers a variety of goods and services. It is located in the quiet countryside with easy access by public transportation, and it has lots of traditional Bangladeshi shops where you can purchase everything you need for your stay in Bangladesh.
The village market is the place for local people to buy and sell their livestock, farm produce, household items, clothes and other daily needs
Village market is located in the heart of town, just off the main road into the town center. The market is a busy shopping center with dozens of stalls selling fresh vegetables and fruit, spices, rice and flour - all at reasonable prices!
Village market is one of the most important markets in Dhaka. It is actually a small city and has many shops, restaurants and even a cinema. You can find all kinds of food here from expensive to cheap if you want it! The best part about visiting this market is that you get to see local Bangladesh people shopping with their families. They are so adorable!

গোয়ালিমান্দ্রা #গ্রাম বিক্রমপুরের শ্রীনগর ও লৌহজং উপজেলার সীমান্ত এলাকা।
বিক্রমপুরের কম বেশি সকলেই এই হাটের সাথে পরিচয় রয়েছে এটি একটি সাপ্তাহিক হাট। যা গোয়ালিমান্দ্রা/মান্দ্রার হাট বলে মানুষ চিনে থাকে। প্রতি সপ্তাহের মঙ্গলবার এই হাটটি বসে। যেখানে বাজার করতে দূর দূরান্ত থেকে মানুষ আসে।
এই হাটে সাধারনের ব্যবহারের সকল উপকরণ পাওয়া যায়। আধুনিক এই সময়ে এমন বহু পুরাতন এক হাট সত্যিই মনোমুগ্ধকর।এই হাটটি শহরের যে কোন সুপারশপ এর চেয়ে কম বলা যাবে না। কারণ, সারিসারি প্রয়োজনীয় সকল জিনিস এখানে এমনভাবে সাজানো যা থেকে খুব সহজে দরদাম করে পণ্য ক্রয় করা যায়।
ভাবছেন এই হাটটিতে কিভাবে যাবেন? খুব সহজ শ্রীনগর থেকে যে কোন রিকশা/অটো/মিশুক কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেই আপনাকে নিয়ে যাবে।খুব পুরাতন হাট বলে এর সুখ্যাতি অনেক বেশি।
