Amazing Natural Wonders DESTROYED by IDIOT Tourists!

The world is full of beautiful things! things that have been formed over thousands of years, wind and water slowly sculpting a masterpiece for us to marvel at and enjoy! then along comes a big dumb tourist and ruins it for everyone! Here are 6 Amazing Natural Wonders DESTROYED by Idiot Tourists!

1. Islas Baleares, Spain
The island of Sa Porrassa, also known as Black lizard island is an uninhabited island in Majorca and a popular stop for tourists, that is until 2 teenage tourists from Scotland set it on fire. The two teenagers hired a pedalo to get to the island and one of them threw his cigarette butt into the scrubs. 1.5 hectares were burnt and two helicopters were needed to put out the blaze. The teenagers claimed it was an accident and no charges were pressed.

2. Goblin Valley, Utah
This valley features thousands of Hoodoos, which are mushroom-shaped rock formations that the locals call Goblins. These Goblins are believed to be 170 million years old and although they had withstood the pass of time unfortunately they couldn't withstand the pass of 2 boy scout leaders who decided that the goblin was a health risk to the boy scouts and pushed it over.
These scout leaders were dismissed from the national boy scouts and received a sentence of one-year probation and a fine.

3. Raja Ampat, Indonesia
The Coral Reef at Raja Ampat is perhaps the richest in biodiversity, that was until the 90-meter cruise ship Caledonian Sky, fully equipped with GPS and Radar systems somehow ran aground in the reef at low-tide, to make matters worse, instead of waiting for high tide, a tug boat was sent out to drag the cruise ship off the reef, causing even greater damage.
An estimated 17,000sqft of the reef was destroyed. A team of academics and environmentalists estimated that the damage to Indonesia was in excess of $18 million and the reef would take decades to recover!

4. Duckbill Rock, Oregon
At Cape Kiwanda State National Park there used to be a peculiar hoodoo rock formation that was a popular tourist attraction because it looked like a duckbill. even though the area was fenced off many people would jump the fence to take photos or videos, as did this group of vandals, who despite having filmed their act of vandalism still haven't been caught. Even if they were caught and prosecuted they would probably only be fined $435 for Vandalizing a park.

5. Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
9 miles long and up to 214 meters tall the cliffs of Moher are an impressive sight. The cliffs have appeared in numerous films, such as The Princess Bride and Harry Potter and attract around 1.5 million tourists a year. unfortunately, they also attracted the attention of a group of french Artists who decided to graffiti an 8 by 6-foot section of the cliffs. These Artists weren't only stupid enough to try to bring Urban Art to the countryside but they were also stupid enough to post it on social media.

6. Tree of Tenere, Sahara desert
This tree used to be the most isolated tree on earth, the nearest tree to it was 250 miles away. it was discovered that the tree survived because its roots had grown down over 30 meters to reach the water table. In 1973 a drunk Libyan trunk driver smashed into the tree and killed it. Now we've all heard of drunk drivers hitting into trees, but how drunk do you have to be to hit the only tree in 250 miles?!!! Now a simple metal statue stands in the spot reminding us of where the tree once stood.

30 Greatest Man-Made Wonders of the World - Travel Video

The earliest lists of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were made more than 2,000 years ago by ancient Hellenic tourists. Except for the Great Pyramid of Giza those wonders no longer exist. They were destroyed by earthquakes, fires and in one case by an angry mob. Many other lists of amazing structures have been made since then. Here’s a look at our list of the greatest man-made wonders of the world:

Crowded Out: The Story of Overtourism

A powerful short documentary exploring Overtourism, featuring interviews with local residents and global experts.

Overtourism occurs when there are too many visitors to a particular destination. When rent prices push out local tenants to make way for holiday rentals, when narrow roads become jammed with tourist vehicles, when tourists cannot view landmarks because of the crowds – these are all signs of overtourism.

And it is the backlash from local residents that has made overtourism news. Cities such as Barcelona, Venice and Dubrovnik, and places once thought of as remote such as Iceland and Skye have suffered firsthand, and the protests by local residents have spread.

There has been decades of virtually uncontrolled growth, and it has crossed a threshold: in many destinations, tourism now demonstrably creates more problems than benefits. Learn more on Responsible Travel at:

5 Sinking Cities That Might be Underwater By 2030

Imagine your home city on solid ground, slowly being swallowed up by the ocean. Nope, this ain’t some sci-fi movie about the end of the world, it's the stark, sad reality of dozens of coastal cities around the world. Millions live on the edge, threatened by a double trouble: rising seas and sinking land.
Remember, about 40% of Americans call the coast home. But human activity has taken a toll on the natural environment. Crowded cities like Beijing pump groundwater dry, causing the land to cave in. At the same time, oceans have risen 8 inches since the year 1880 and projected to climb another foot by 2100.
The result? Cities sinking like anchors, with the future of millions teetering on the edge. This isn't just an environmental issue, it's a human one. Homes, businesses, lives - everything is at risk. The question is, can we adapt before the tide turns against us?
In this video, we take a look at 5 Sinking Cities That Might be Underwater by 2030. We explore the causes behind their sinking, the efforts being made to mitigate the damage, and what the future might hold for these vulnerable urban centers. Join us on a journey to some of the world's most at-risk cities and discover what's being done to keep them afloat.
