Mabul (Malay: Pulau Mabul) is a small island off the south-eastern coast of Sabah in Malaysia. The island has been a fishing village since the 1970s. After the 1990s, it gained popularity to divers due with its proximity to Sipadan island. (

Mabul Water Bungalow is a 4-Star floating dive-resort wholly owned by Sipadan-Mabul Resort (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. (SMART), situated at Mabul Island overlooking the world-renowned Sipadan Island which is 15-minutes away by speedboat.
These wooden-type bungalows has twenty four (24) unit entirely built over water with stilts offering sheer comfort. Each bungalow exquisitely furnished with contemporary decor, equipped with remote control air-conditioner, ceiling fan, private bathroom-hot/cold shower and toilet, spacious private balcony offer panoramic vistas of blue sea, colour TV with satellite channels, mini bar, in-room safety box and free wireless internet access.
Facilities include a large and airy restaurant for dining, a souvenir shop selling variety of t-shirts, accessories and gifts, a business center, a dive center and an office taking care guests registration, billings and a health spa outlet.

Assalamualaikum and hye, first and foremost thanks for still be here with us and support this channel. If only we could tell you how excited we are to share another journey that has its own charms. Let's get started and this is how the story begins…
“What To Do In Mabul Island?” Is it safe, should we go for other cities in Sabah instead? That's the questions that hovering in our minds when we started planning our next Sabah trip.
While reading other people's experiences, it turns out that the place is safe and many great stories about this beautiful islands revealed. As we know, one of the key strengths of each country is primarily based on its people. That’s what made our decision to proceed stronger, where we were so look forward in getting to know other ethnicities that exist in the state of Sabah, Sea Gypsies & Suluk.
Finally, the decision was firmly made and our journey to this special island began for 3D2N.
0:00 Day 1 - The Bungalow
• Flight from KLIA at 6am
• Arrived Tawau Airport after almost 3hrs (Resort’s Transportation was already waiting us outside)
• Journey frm Tawau Airport – Semporna Town at 1hrs 15mins
• Boarded Speed boat at Seafest Jetty in Semporna Town (which arranged by resort)
• Arrived Mabul Water Bungalow (after 45mins)
• Briefing & Touring being held by Mr Jasni, MWB’s team (for the guests to familiar with the resort)
• Lunch & room check in (Type of Room- Family Villa)
• Snorkelling at MWB’s HouseReef
• The HouseReef’s Jetty is a hot spot for local villagers to sell their live seafood, get ready once you’ve engaged them. “Mesti deal sampai jadi” that’s their mission ????
But, we’re not all out for day 1, just get to know how to handle the deals first
• Back to the room and continues with outdoor jacuzzi and sunset from our balcony
• Dinner at MWB’s restaurant which located in an airy dining pavilion
• Night Walk and looking for the sea turles but we found a baby crab that freely went for his night swimming
• Wrap of the day, tiring but can’t wait for tomorrow!
10:28 Day 2 - The Underwater Paradise
• Breakfast
• Heading to Dive centre by walking through the Sama Relaut Village. So nice to feel the air and ambience of village and meeting their friendly peoples
• Reach Scuba Junkie (with half day diving package)
• Refresher session at ScubaJunkie’s HouseReef (warming up needed since 6 months not getting into diving)
• Continue with Lobster Wall (meeting so many new friends underwater) and last dive site called Paradise Wreck
• Lunch
• Bicycle rental at the main resort (on land side)
• Bought lobsters and crabs
• Dinner in the room
• Out for OOTD at landmarks surrounding MWB
• Wrap of our last night
26:12 Day 3 - The People of Mabul
• Breakfast
• Heading for Snorkelling activity at Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort
• Back to resort
• Cycling to on land village, on water village, on Lepa. Trying local dish and heard the stories from the local peoples. We learned a lot from them
