Hello all! I hope you enjoy this light-hearted video about what I learned about the wonderful people of Nigeria during my first visit there. I love learning about other cultures, especially since this is part of my husbands identity. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go again!

Nigeria - Being a Guest of African Culture

Nigeria - What it’s like being a guest of African culture

Filmed and edited back in 2016, this video was stored on the hard drive for too long!
Nigeria was an amazing and intense experience, packed with warmhearted people und cultural surprises. If it hadn't been for Temi and Adam, who celebrated their marriage in a traditional Nigerian style, we wouldn't have taken the opportunity to visit this country that we knew so little about.

This month in Nigeria, being so close to the culture, definitely did something with us and we are grateful for the memories we've made.

Filmed largely in Lagos and Cross River State (Ugep, Calabar and Afi Mountain)

Chad - Peoples of Sahel

Today in Chad nomadism is still a way of life for many pastoralist ethnic groups such as Arabs, Tubus, Wodaabe or Fulattas groups.
Irregular seasonal rains and recurrent droughts make mobility the only viable route for these Sahelians.
Men or even entire families, along with hundreds and hundreds of animals, carry out transhumance every year. In the dry season they move from the north of the country to the south and return in the rainy season to the more arid regions of northern Chad.
