Working with traditional adzes and modern power tools, we carved a beautiful 20-foot canoe from a massive old Douglas fir log. The end result is functional and beautiful and paddles like a dream. Machining is widely used in all kinds of industries from a small volume to mass, depend on the process requirements. This increases efficiency, as the CNC machine runs unmanned therefore reducing labor costs for machine shops.

I'm really excited about this video.
I had the chance to go see how my friend Manreet Deol's jewelry is made in New Delhi. From the molding to the melted metal poured in traditional indian sand casting technique.
However, this technique is rapidly dying as India specialises in the service industry and it becomes increasingly difficult to find young artisans who want to take over.
In this video, I followed Rajiv's team as they melted and molded one of Manifest Design's beautiful necklace pieces. I love their jewelry, their designs and own about a dozen products now (including a few rings and my go to brass bracelet!).
