Montenegro Drone Flight: Montenegro is a Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. The Bay of Kotor, resembling a fjord, is dotted with coastal churches and fortified towns such as Kotor and Herceg Novi. Durmitor National Park, home to bears and wolves, encompasses limestone peaks, glacial lakes and 1,300m-deep Tara River Canyon. Budva is a lively beach town, with luxury yachts in the harbor and a party vibe in the old town center. Nearby is Sveti Stefan, a 15th-century island town turned high-end resort connected to the mainland by just a thin causeway. Inland, the 17th-century Ostrog Monastery is wedged into a vertical cliff face. Vast Lake Skadar, which borders Albania, is an important bird reserve. Montenegros honorary capital, Cetinje, features Orthodox churches and palaces, while the official capital, Podgorica, has more modern Turkish, Eastern Bloc and European architecture. KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (2023) | 10 Best Things To Do In & Around Kotor

Kotor is a medieval town located in a secluded corner of the stunning Bay of Kotor. In this video, we’ll show you 10 of the best things to do in and around this magical town.

???? Rent a car in Montenegro:
???? Recommended stay - Casa del Sole Lux (the host is lovely!!):

10. Explore the old town
Wander the maze of narrow streets and simply enjoy the architecture. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, this old town has a lot of character. From its decorated gates, to its orthodox and catholic churches, cozy squares, and Venetian palaces, every corner holds a story.

☑️ Kotor private walking tour with food & wine tasting:

9. Walk the city walls
Covering about 4.5 kilometers or 3 miles, the thick walls were built to protect the town, which was an important naval and trading center. Today, the walls are crumbling in some sections and it isn’t possible to walk all the way around the Old Town. But there are still several parts that you can easily access, such as the Gurdić Bastion and the Kampana Tower.

8. Visit a museum
The old town of Kotor is home to a few interesting museums, such as the Cats Museum and the Maritime Museum.

7. Watch the sunset from the fortress
Above Kotor’s city walls, you can find old St. John’s fortress. You’ll have to walk 1,350 steps to get there. The best time to visit is in the early morning or an hour or two before sunset as it’s generally a bit cooler and the light is best for pictures. Find the trail entrance behind the Church of St. Mary Collegiate.

6. Cool down at Kotor beach
Kotor doesn’t have any long beaches, but small ones are scattered around the bay. The closest one is Kotor Beach, which can be found right outside the old town. Alternatively, head to Orahovac or Bajova Kula beach on the way to Perast.

5. Try Montenegrin wine
Kotor’s old town is filled with a variety of charming restaurants and bars where you can sample the local cuisine and wine. Some bars offer wine tastings where you can try indigenous Vranac wine, such as the Old Winery Wine Bar.

4. Explore nearby Perast
The Bay of Kotor is dotted with picturesque villages, but nearby Perast might be the most charming one.

3. Go on a boat tour in the bay
During a 3-hour tour you visit the church on the man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks, pass through a cave where submarines used to be hidden, spot the old prison on Mamula Island, and swim in the magical Blue Cave.

☑️ Boat tour of the Bay + Blue Cave from Kotor:

2. Hike the Ladder of Kotor
The Ladder of Kotor is an old caravan trail that used to connect Kotor with the old capital of Montenegro. The switchback trail offers some breathtaking views of the Bay of Kotor.

1. Drive the serpentine road to Lovćen National Park
From Kotor, it’s a short 45 minute drive to Mt Lovćen National Park via a narrow serpentine road that takes you up to the mountains. Driving this road is a thrilling experience and you can stop at one of the many viewpoints.

All the beauties of Montenegro

Montenegro is a small but in many ways an exceptional Mediterranean country. Although a small country spanning less than 14000km and with a little less than 690,000 inhabitants, Montenegro is hard to describe and present in a very short time. This is partly due to the turbulent history of this country, which with its position has seduced many conquerors who left their mark and made Montenegro a state of turbulent past, a rich cultural heritage, a state that is known as multiethnic and multiconfessional.

Nature is partly responsible for the specialty of Montenegro, a nature that is so unique, still untouched, innocent, diverse and special. Nature, this wild beauty is a special treasure of Montenegro. On a small surface of Montenegro, there is a magnificent coast that leaves breathless, but also mountains that are simply conquered by their beauty and size.

Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Milk, Turks, and not only they, but many other nations, wanted to conquer and retain Montenegro for themselves, they all leave traces that are still visible and felt today. Many poets, writers and travel writers described Montenegro as the most beautiful words and sages. Montenegro is a more and more famous tourist destination, offering a diversified and more luxurious offer to those most demanding tourists. In a small area of Montenegro, tourists are given the opportunity to stay on the coast and enjoy visiting some of the numerous beaches stretching from Ulcinj, ie Ada and the mouth of the river Bojana into the sea to Herceg Novi, ie the border with Croatia, but also for a very short time visit north of Montenegro and enjoy the mountains and numerous lakes.

The Montenegrin coast is innocent, pearly and stunned, over 290 km long with over 70 km of beaches. Slip from Ulcinj, a wooded town that is spectacular with its diversity, over Bar, with its bow welcoming sailors and tourists, we come to Budva, which is a kind of capital of Montenegro’s tourism, and which increasingly resorts to Nice, Monaco, San Trope and another mondial holiday resort. The coast then proceeds to Tivat, which proudly stands and with its beauty welcomes you at the entrance to the surely most beautiful bay in Europe Bay of Kotor. Boka is so beautiful and special on its shore hides many small settlements that tell their history, and among them is proudly standing an ancient Kotor, a city that, due to its history, has been included in the world’s cultural heritage under the patronage of the UNESC. At the end, beginning with Risen and its ancient mosaics we come to Herceg Novi, which as a Mediterranean beauty enchants beauty and opiates with the smell of mimosa. All these towns on the coast have so much to tell about themselves and their history, and they offer much more than just relaxing on the beach. The cultural heritage of the Montenegrin coastal cities is rich and beautiful.

Beauty of Montenegro UHD| World in 4K

World in 4K presents you Montenegro ( a country in southeast Europe on the Adriatic coast of the Balkans. It borders Bosnia and Herzegovina to the north, Serbia to the east, Albania to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea and Croatia to the west. The largest and capital city Podgorica covers 10.4% of Montenegro's territory and is home to 29.9% of the country's population, while Cetinje has the status of old royal capital.
Terrain in Montenegro ranges from high mountains in the northern part of the country, through karst segment in central and western part, to almost 300 km of a narrow coastal plain. The coastal plain disappears completely in the north, where Mount Lovćen and other mountain ranges plunge abruptly into the inlet of the Gulf of Kotor. The coastal region is noted for active seismicity.
The coast of Montenegro is 294 km (183 mi) long. Unlike its northern neighbour Croatia, Montenegro has no large inhabited islands along the coast. A notable feature of the Montenegrin coast is Bay of Kotor, a fjord-like gulf, which is in fact a submerged river canyon. The Bay of Kotor is surrounded by mountains up to 1,000 m (3,281 ft) high, which plunge almost vertically into the sea.

Montenegro - Wild Beauty

Montenegro is a very unique country in comparison to the others.

The first time I ever shot drone videos was in Dulcigno/Ulqin/Ulcinj; that's where I filmed some of my first YouTube videos! I still recall the emotions I felt the first time I saw the sea and the old town's sunset, I fell in love instantly and I believe that just looking at the sea and its wild beauty gave me inspiration and energy to bring my creative work to the next level.

About Montenegro: Montenegro is a country in southeast Europe on the Adriatic coast of the Balkans. It borders Bosnia and Herzegovina to the north, Serbia to the east, Albania to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea and Croatia to the west. The largest and capital city is Podgorica while Cetinje has the status of old royal capital. During the Early Medieval period, three principalities were located on the territory of modern-day Montenegro: Duklja, roughly corresponding to the southern half; Travunia, the west; and Rascia proper, the north. The Principality of Zeta emerged in the 14th and 15th centuries. The name Montenegro was first used to refer to the country in the late 15th century. After falling under Ottoman rule, Montenegro regained its independence in 1696 under the rule of the House of Petrović-Njegoš, first as a theocracy and later as a secular principality. Montenegros independence was recognized by the Great Powers at the Congress of Berlin in 1878. In 1910, the country became a kingdom. After World War I, it became part of Yugoslavia. Following the breakup of Yugoslavia, the republics of Serbia and Montenegro together proclaimed a federation. Following the independence referendum held in May 2006, Montenegro declared its independence and the confederation peacefully dissolved. Between 1990 and 2020, Montenegro was governed by the Democratic Party of Socialists and its minor coalition partners. [Source: wikipedia // Google]
