I tested various lenses with Nikon Z6:
* Nikkor Z 24-70 F4 S - no adapter needed and everything works as expected
* Tamron 24-70 F2.8 first gen - often can't focus plus weird exposure changes
* Tamron 70-300 - ditto
* Tamron 15-30 F2.8 first gen- same as above, but this one may still be useful for me as I mainly use it for stationary subjects and sometimes with tripod
* Tamron 150-600 G2 (second gen) - works with the latest lens firmware update as of 5 Jan 2019
* Nikkor 50 F1.8 and Nikkor 85 F1.8 - both work
* Samyang 14 F2.8 - it's a manual focus lens, but works as expected including correct exposure
It was relatively dark: 1/50s F4, ISO 2000

Z50 • First Lens to Buy!
Nikon Z50 owners or people thinking about getting one, here is my suggestion for the best first lens to buy and add to your collection after your purchase of the Z50 two lens kit. Hint, it's the DX 35mm f/1.8G f-mount prime lens. Make sure you have an FTZ adaptor which I highly recommend purchasing at the time of your Z50 purchase so you can save 200 dollars.

Nikon Z6 Unboxing
I unbox my new Nizon Z6 and FTZ Adaptor
1080/60 test video with Nikon Z6 with FTZ and Sigma 150-600C plus 1.4TC in FX and DX modes.
This is a very short test video made with a HANDHELD Nikon Z6 with FTZ adapter and a Sigma 150-600C lens at the 600 mm setting, with and without Sigma 1.4TC teleconverter. The video was taken at 1080/60 in FX and DX modes of the Z6. The camera's AF mode was set to single point AF-C to avoid focus hunting and lens noise. The AF speed and quality are not great but usable and not noticeably different than when the 150-600C is used with D850.
The video was taken in the camera's M mode, at 1/600 and f9.0, resulting in ISO of about 1500-2500 depending on the presence of the TC.
The Z6's electronic VR must be ON for stabilization to be effective. About 10% frame cropping was observed when the electronic VR was used. The lens' OS switch must be set to OS1. The Z6 did NOT stabilize when the lens OS switch was in the OS2 mode, even though the camera menu showed that both VR types remained on (this may be an issue with my copy of this lens; my other Sigma lens (105/2.8) did not have such a problem).
For the Sigma 150-600C lens, Z6 appears to combine electronic VR with some of the lens's VR axes. Some artifacts of the lens' VR mechanism (floating and periodic jerking) are noticeable and they also appear when using the lens for still photography with my D850. Over 1.5 years of ownership of this lens I have noticed a gradual increase in the amount of VR float, which was almost absent in the beginning, so this again may be specific to my copy of the lens.
With the Nikon Z6 with FTZ, Sigma 150-600C and Sigma 1.4TC an effective reach of 150 to 1200 mm is available at 4K video resolution without significant degradation in IQ and resolution, which should be great for all wildlife including birds.
Tamron 15-30mm with FTZ adapter after firmware upgrade
This is a follow-up to my previous video where I demonstrated that autofocus was broken while using Tamron 15-30mm F2.8 (first generation), Nikon Z6 and FTZ adapter.
It is the first generation lens and it's impossible to update the firmware on your own via TAP-in console. Instead I posted it for an update to Tamron (Fixation in the UK), which they did free of charge even though I had bought the lens 4.5 years ago. Excellent customer service!
The autofocus is working fine now. Perhaps it's not as fast and reliable as on my Nikon D610, but it should be perfectly usable in most scenarios.

Video test on Nikon Z50 AF-S 50mm F1.8G lens FTZ adapter (尼康Z50 FTZ 转接環 AF-S 50mm F1.8G 鏡頭下的視頻測試）
Nikon Z50 with FTZadapter, excellent quality, but low price NIKKOR AF-S lens can be used. Here 50mm F1.8G lens is tested here. One critical thing needs to be tested is the auto-focus capability when AF-S lens is adopted. Here Auto-area focus and Full time AF are two relevant settings for auto-focus functionality. This video is recorded in the most busy area of Hong Kong, Kowloon, although Covid virus is still shadowing Hong Kong. The crowd people and congested cars cause the very challenging scenario for Nikon Z50. Through this study of video testing, you can see the auto-focus capability of Nikon Z50; meanwhile, you can also realize what is computation algorithm behind, so that you can better utilize this auto-focus function, not misusing or abusing this very useful and critical functionality. This video test uses monopod to ease the problem of hand-shaking during video making. Unfortunately hand-shaking problem is still obvious, so post-processing for stabilization by iMovie software is used here. However, at the last part of this video, stabilization of iMovie cannot be adopted since there are a lot of large objects moving abruptly, which will significantly impact the quality of video after post-processing stabilization, so I just leave these clips here without post stabilization processing.

I also use Leica film and digital rangefinder cameras, M4 (film) and M240P (digital mirrorless).
