World's Most Deadly Road | Killar - Kishtwar | Cliff Hanger Route Full Road Coverage

A short video clip about cliffhanger road also knows as Death Road India. Terrifying high mountain trail, with length of 120 kms, located at the eastern extremity of the Kishtwar District of the Jammu Region in J&K, India. If your GPS ever think's its a good idea to drive on this road, it may be time to get a new one! It's a narrow, windy road with no guard rail or secure edging for 100 Miles, with views of the valley thousands of feet below.
The road is part of the Kishtwar - Tandi Road aka Killar Kishtwar road, running along the Chenab river. It's incredibly disorienting to look over the edge, or even just to see the valley a couple of thousand feet below you. It's a mind numbing vertical drop of hundreds of meters so you might want to give it a miss on a windy day. The surface of the road is sand, gravel and stones and it's carved into the side of cliff. The one lane path had no guard rail and the overhanging cliff is so low that the cars barely fit, with over a 2000ft drop, rocks hanging down obstructing your views of oncoming traffic. This road has humbled many egos. Its not for sissies and shouldn't be attempted by novice riders. The road is in dreadful condition and requires strong nerves to negotiate it.
Only the suicidal, the insane, or the paid to do this should ever ride down. One mistake and it's a free fall to your death. This is a road hacked across a vertical cliff face and driving its spine tingling mix of heady exhilaration and sheer fear. Avalanches, heavy snowfall and landslides can occur anytime. Open to all vehicles, but shall be soon closed down as the govt of J&K has proposed a new by pass to this deadly route which is already under construction. Once the same finishes, this route shall be closed for ever and will be remembered only on the youtube videos thereafter!

We started this adventurous road trip in september last week, weather was fine in plains but quite cold at padri-pass and sach-pass, road conditions were bad at some places and intolerable at sach-pass and cliff hanger but overall smooth throughout the journey.

DDC Kishtwar Convenes interactive meeting with Media Persons.
_holds press conference ahead of the launching PM-JAY sehat programme.
District Development Commissioner Kishtwar ,Ashok Sharma today convened an interactive meeting with the Media Persons representing different media houses here at his office chamber DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pawan Parihar, ALC kishtwar Anoop Kumar Touseef Iqbal Butt, Protection Officer(NIC) DCPU Kishtwar and various media persons remained present.
After welcoming DDC, various media persons highlighted the major issues and problems faced by them and hoped that the collective cooperation in redressing these issues will be ensured from administration end.They also demanded press club for media persons in kishtwar.
DDC reiterated that Media plays an active role in educating people about various welfare measures and schemes of Government like PM kissan, Ayushman Bharat,Jal Jivan Mission ,APY etc.
Meanwhile addressing the press conference held in his office chamber he congratulated the staff, police ,paramilitary forces and media in general and public of kishtwar in particular for their cooperation and coordination in the successfull conduct of the recently concluded District Development Councils elections in the district.
He further extended his heartfelt congratulation to the newly elected DDC members and hoped that he will receive full cooperation of these elected representatives in the expediting the pace of development in the district.
Besides he informed that as the UT of J&K is going to be the first in the country, where the mega health insurance scheme by name Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Sehat scheme is going to be launched electronically on 26-12-2020 by PM of India.
In this regard he invited media person for covering the event besides sought their cooperation in successful implimentation of this scheme by way of educating the masses to get enrolled in this scheme in mission mode manner.
He further informed that similar live telecast of the launching of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Sehat Scheme shall be held at Health Block Headquarter of Dachhan,Chatroo and Paddar on 26-12-2020.
