This adventure packed tour takes holiday makers from hotels and on cruises right around the island of Antigua. The speed of the boat makes it possible to spend more time at each destination. Adventure Antigua operates several power boat tours as well as a sailing tour. This one is their Xtreme tour and is an adventure tour that zooms right around Antigua's 365 beach speckled coastline with stops for stingray city, snorkeling, lunch, history, and beaches. Cruise fast and have more time at the points of interest including Green Island, the little islands of the North Sound, Nelson's Dockyard, Pillars of Hercules, Rendezvous Bay, Cades Bay, Five Islands Harbour and all the other points of interest. We collect from all the major hotels including Sandals, Galley Bay and Jolly Beach. We also collect from the Cruise Ship docks too. If you are into snorkeling then this is your trip with up to three different sessions, two beach stops, two park stops. This is the most active tour on Antigua and Barbuda. The Eco Tour which you can also find on the website is more of a laid back kind of tour offering enough excitement to keep the whole family happy.

One of the best shore excursions that we have done with Carnival Cruise Lines in Antigua out of the 15+ cruises we have done with them. The stingrays were gigantic, friendly and very active. The location of this excursion was on a sandbar in crustal clear blue water just off the coast of the island and part of what made this excursion one of the best offered by Carnival. We had a blast at Stingray City highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Antigua.

We woke up early to go to Stingray City,. We were cancelled by the Hurricane the last time we were there 4 years prior! I've always wanted to swim with the stingrays and hoped with the early time it would mean a small crowd. I wasn't disappointed!

Antigua - Stingray City - August 2013
Well worth a visit if you're ever in Antigua. Filmed on my GoPro Hero 2 in 1080p. I wish I'd got the diving housing and some anti-fog inserts but the footage is still pretty good.
We spent an hour hear watching, feeding and swimming with these amazing creatures. There's also a few shots of Barry The Barracuda who comes along for the free food.
Stingray Snorkel in Antigua
The gray/brown/spotted stingrays brush and nuzzle up against the snorkelers while the stingrays look for food. Once fed some squid, their vacuum-like suction can bruise human flesh but it's all fun and crazy with everyone laughing and screaming. The black stingrays are so aggressive in their search for food, they can knock you off your feet, which isn't too bad in 4 foot deep water. One man in the video is swimming along and comes face to face with a stingray, which takes him by surprise. The stingrays are kind of hard to make out when first viewed on the video but they are everywhere swimming all around. It's impossible to tell the black ones from the others in this video but most of them were more gray/brown and spotted. October 2009
