Walking Tour in Bozeman, Montana - Virtual Tours of Cities and Treadmill Walks
Today's virtual walking tour takes along the streets of Bozeman, Montana. Although the fictional Duttons live nearby, the show Yellowstone is actually filmed elsewhere. Filming Virtual tours of cities can be a bit tough when the weather doesn't cooperation but the fall colors really pop on a cool fall day.
We've filmed in Bozeman several times before but it's been over a year so I figured I'd go back and give an updated virtual walk. We start at the Emerson Center for the Arts and walk down Main Street to the Library and then into the North Side neighborhood. We circle back to Main Street and end up at the Emerson again. Bozeman is a city and the county seat of Gallatin County, Montana, United States. Located in southwest Montana, the 2020 census put Bozeman's population at 53,293, making it the fourth-largest city in Montana. It is the principal city of the Bozeman, MT Micropolitan Statistical Area, consisting of all of Gallatin County with a population of 118,960. Due to the fast growth rate Bozeman is expected to be upgraded to Montana's fourth metropolitan area. It is the largest micropolitan statistical area in Montana, the fastest growing micropolitan statistical area in the United States in 2018, 2019 and 2020, as well as the third-largest of all Montana's statistical areas.
The city is named after John M. Bozeman, who established the Bozeman Trail and was a founder of the town in August 1864. The town became incorporated in April 1883 with a city council form of government, and in January 1922 transitioned to its current city manager/city commission form of government. Bozeman was elected an All-America City in 2001 by the National Civic League.
Bozeman is home to Montana State University. The local newspaper is the Bozeman Daily Chronicle; the city is served by Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.

It's not a secret that Montana is one of the most beautiful states in the United States. The Big Sky Country is the home of some natural wonders such as the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains. In fact, the majority of the 147,000 square miles of Montana offer exquisite wildlife and unadulterated terrains. Here, you can satisfy your insatiable needs for outdoor wonders.

Enjoy this 2.5 hour road trip through the breathtaking landscapes of Montana, as we embark on a scenic drive from Bozeman to Yellowstone National Park. This journey promises a visual feast of majestic mountains, winding rivers, and the untamed beauty of the American West.
Starting our adventure in Bozeman, known for its vibrant culture and outdoor recreation, we'll set the stage for an incredible road trip. As we leave the town behind, the vast expanse of Montana's big sky country unfolds before us, with the Bridger Mountains to the northeast and the Gallatin Range to the south.
Our first destination is Paradise Valley, a name that perfectly captures the essence of this stunning region. The drive takes us along the Yellowstone River, with its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding peaks. Hello Walkers. IT. IS. COLD!!! the temperature is -25C / -11F. In todays virtual walks for treadmill by City Walks, I take you around Bozeman, MT. That is pretty cold for treadmill walking scenery but I am willing to bundle up and brave the weather to make these walking tours for treadmill for you guys. :-) Seriously though, while it is cold, it’s nothing too unusual for Montana. I bundled up and dressed appropriately and the virtual walking trails for treadmill part was easy. There was barely even a breeze today. We start down town and you can see the temp on the bank signs. We’ve also gotten a bunch of snow and we walk around Downtown Bozeman as even more snow falls.
Our virtual walking tour takes us down Main Street which is snow packed and busy. We walk by several restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, and gift shops as well as new buildings and office space. The Baxter Hotel, which is not a hotel rises in the snow. The Armory and the Element as well as the Lark. There are two theaters downtown as well. The catholic church is across from Wells Fargo and next to First Interstate bank and the Emerson is a block south of those. We take a brief detour into the South Side neighborhood before going back to downtown and walking some alleys
We hope you enjoy our hiking 4k walking tour today. It’s still cold but supposed to warm up a bit next week. These virtual hikes for treadmill are fun to make and they help get me outside. You can walk along, go for a virtual treadmill run, or just watch and relax on the treadmill scenery walk as I chat and point out restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and other sites and things to do in Livingston. 4K city walks succeeds due to your support and feedback so when I ask for comments, I really do mean it.
