OFF GRID living for everyone ONE DAY | 120 | beau and brandy sailing
St.Croix has been a nice spot to rest up before we head down south for the hurricane season.But before we go we have some exploring to do. First up we head over to the Shallow Wrecks of Butler Bay. The Shallow Wrecks at Butler Bay consist of 3 shipwrecks, a trawler Suffolk Maid, a tug boat Northwind, and a massive oil barge Virgin Islander. We dive the tug boat, which housed several curious turtles.
Then we moved onto Farm in a Pod ( FarmPod is the farm of the future! It is a revolutionary, vertical aquaponic food production system that is both off grid and automated. Powered by solar energy and rainwater, our basic unit can produce 100+ pounds of fresh produce a week utilizing an extremely small footprint - the size of one parking space!

NEARLY DISMASTED by WAVE in the Caribbean | Sailing Balachandra E071
In this video, Nearly Dismasted by Wave in the Caribbean, we suffer a devastating set back when one of our lower shrouds breaks while under heavy roll.
In Grenada we waste no time in taking a tour of the entire island stopping to enjoy waterfalls, an extinct volcano and wild mona monkeys! While we wait for our new shroud to be delivered by mail we rig up a temporary shrod using dynema and a spare turnbuckle then sail for the island of La Ronde.

In August of 2017 we sold everything and moved aboard Balachandra, a 1986 C&C44 sailboat, then sailed it over 300 nautical miles to Halifax Nova Scotia to spend a cold Canadian winter in the frozen waters of the North Atlantic. Sailing Balachandra is our YouTube sailing vlog inspired by other great channels such as Delos and La Vagabonde, which documents the sailing adventures of myself and my partner Nawal as we navigate the globe. We also dive into lots of DIY boat projects both above and below decks, and share with you all of the pros and cons of living aboard full time.
