I took Aegean Airlines flight from Bucharest to Athens on A320 and than from Athens to Larnaca on their new A321neo in economy and I'm glad to say that they kept the similar standards. Also you can see how flying is difference during covid times and how it changed since covid started and how this airline kept their standards in 2021.

The second AIRBUS A321 NEO SX-NAB arrived yesterday at Athens International Airport and our captains Spyros Giannakopoulos and Stefanos Athanasoglou made the arrival quite impressive with a low pass and wings’ wave! Enjoy!

Aegean Airlines A320neo SX-NEA evening arrival at Edinburgh Airport
A late evening visitor to Edinburgh Airport on a weekly basis is Greek flag-carrier Aegean Airlines who operate this flight between Athens International Airport every Thursday evening.
It is a difficult one to catch as it arrives at 23:00 and then departs at 23:55. With the month of June giving a little extra light in the evening I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to catch this beautiful bird.
This A320Neo SX-NEA was delivered brand-new to the airline on the 27th of January 2020. As well as being the first of the new re-engined type to be delivered to the airline, it also was the first to sport their beautiful new livery.

Afternoon TAKEOFF from FRA + Onboard PAs | Aegean Airlines A321neo
Part.3 A uneventful afternoon takeoff with the sun setting to the west as the A321neo gained elevation. The sun tricked the camera autofocus a lot. The focus didn't work as planned though the PAs and the cabin sound were very good and thus I didn't want to cut it out. A big thanks to Manos for his patience and very stable footage!! He had a very nice flight back home to Athens. Unfortunately, because the landing was in the evening, the footage wouldn't be good due to low light... Aboard the A321-271NX SX-NAC [11.2020] of Aegean Airlines. The aircraft is brand-new, with the Pratt&Witney 2 x PW1133G high-bypass turbofan engines with increased range and lower fuel consumption compared to its predecessor.
The flight: FRA (Frankfurt Airport) - ATH (Athens International Airport)
The cabin is overall a nice upgrade from the new one. Though it doesn't feature a personal screen, that would be a good idea and the seat pitch still remains very average, so are the storage options. The windows are the big draw of this aircraft which offer more light in the cabin making travel more comfortable.

What I didn't like was the personal pre-flight safety demonstration; it is just getting too old for the new era of travel, with all being shown on the overhead or personal screens, but that is not a big issue... Aegean is rebranding itself but in my opinion, it is still behind the competition and also with its many issues with weight restrictions and the fares...
