Air Canada's retrofitted A330s is the best way to fly between Florida and Canada. Due to the high capacity needed between Montreal and Fort Lauderdale during the winter months, the A330 became the perfect jet to fly the vacationers.
Air Canada is the flag carrier and the largest airline in Canada, with its headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. Their major hubs are Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Vancouver International Airport (YVR), and Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL).

Pearson Airport is in a state of constant chaos, Air Canada is cancelling flights left, right, and centre, and yes, they still serve cold plastic packaged bread rolls with their Economy dinner meals. But with all the horrible stories of nights stranded in the airport and bags getting lost, I still figured I should go check it out for myself. On this trip I'm headed into the eye of the storm, Toronto's Pearson International Airport, with a 3 hour connection as I travel from Montreal to Barcelona.
Let's see what the travel day for that long-awaited summer Europe trip really looks like in summer 2022 and get the full experience onboard Air Canada's Airbus A330-300 in Economy Class, with the newly refurbished Dream Cabin.

Having just flown on an Air Canada 787-9 from LAX to YYZ two days prior, I was really looking forward to this YUL-YVR flight on the A330-300 just to see how it compares.
It's pretty nice actually! A bit dated of course, but perfectly comfortable for a 5 hour flight.
This is footage from flight number 301, and I was seated in 41K. Aircraft registration was C-GHKW.

TRIP REPORT | Air Canada A330-300 | Munich to Toronto | Economy Class!
TRIP REPORT of my Air Canada A330-300 flight from Munich, Germany to Toronto YYZ Airport, Canada in Economy Class. The flight time was 8 hours and 40 minutes. After a long walk through Munich Airport (Skytrax awarded) we arrived at our boarding gate to Toronto. The boarding process was very smooth and started 45 minutes before departure enabling us to leave Munich right on time. The first meal was served about 2 hours into the flight. There were two choices and both were ok - not the best nor the worst Economy Class meal I had so far. The leg room was pretty good enabling me to get some sleep. The Inflight Entertainment System in your front seat was working but only very slowly. There was a good choice of movies. During the flight the flight attendants offered drinks and one more snack before arrival. It was a really windy day in Toronto and some passengers got sick. But the landing was very smooth and most importantly on-time! After a quick walk through the cabin (Economy, Premium Eco and Business Class) I was able to see the cockpit. Afterwards I collected my luggage and caught a shuttle taxi to my final destination North of Toronto. Seat for my wing view was 40K. Welcome everyone to this Air Canada video, thank you for joining!
Air Canada is one of my favorite airlines to fly transatlantic as it’s one of the carriers with the largest beverage choice and best IFE. And those are some of the things I like the most on airplanes, wink wink ????
Initially I was supposed to fly in Premium Economy but as I noticed a whole empty row of seats in the Economy Class I decided to swap there. Full flat!
This particular aircraft operates in a high density 3 class configuration and is one of the B777’s with most number of seats, so I’m glad to have experienced this flight.
I wonder why Air Canada isn’t more spoken of when it comes to top airlines but that’s what I’m here for!

As we suffered a moderate delay on departure there is also plenty of plane spotting at YUL.

About the 777 (from Wikipedia):
The Boeing 777, commonly referred to as the Triple Seven, is an American long-range wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's largest twinjet. The 777 was designed to bridge the gap between Boeing's other wide body airplanes, the twin-engined 767 and quad-engined 747, and to replace older DC-10s and L-1011 trijets. Developed in consultation with eight major airlines, with a first meeting in January 1990, the program was launched on October 14, 1990, with an order from United Airlines. The prototype was rolled out on April 9, 1994, and first flew on June 12, 1994. The 777 entered service with the launch customer, United Airlines, on June 7, 1995. Longer range variants were launched on February 29, 2000, and were first delivered on April 29, 2004.
