An already popular site for locals, what was once known as the Cell Site by the Paramin community has been given a $3 million facelift and has been officially declared a tourism site by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The workmanship is a testament to the artisans, craftsmen and contractors in the Paramin area.

Tour of La Vigie Paramin Look Out | Trinidad Tourism Destinations | Trinidad Youtuber
The Paramin La Vigie Look out is a spectacular view point over looking the Paramin hills and at some point you can see the maracas beach. Its a steep and mountainous region so proper vehicles , preferably a van would be most appropriate for visiting this location.
To access the site is free of charge. It is also a great location for photoshoots , weddings and parties. There are bathroom and kitchen facilities located on the compound for your convenience.
It is also advised that you visit on days when the weather is good and there's lots of sunlight since the mountain gets really foggy when it rains.

Part 2: Road trip to PARAMIN, a village in the Mountains of Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean. In this video, I take different roads to show you areas of Paramin not covered in Part 1. There are some who are sensitive to my comments about the surroundings -- these people are usually newcomers to JB's Man Cave. In no way, am I putting down people's houses or their economic status -- that is just ridiculous to assume. What I do talk about is the TRASH and GARBAGE that people leave around -- it is not outsiders doing that -- it is people from the area. This is NOT unique to Paramin this happens all over the country and I have made many videos about it. To believe otherwise is to live in an illusion about the reality of how things are in Trinidad with regards to how we keep our surroundings -- we CAN do a lot better. Also, I prefer green over concrete, blocks and structures that do little or nothing to enhance the country or an area -- taking care of your premises has nothing to do with class or how much money you have it has to do with community spirit!

PARAMIN is a Tropical Village located in the Mountains in North Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean making up part of Trinidad and Tobago. To get to Paramin you have to drive up steep narrow roads using a vehicle capable of mountain climbing. Paramin has a rich history with Spanish and French settlers, many years ago, establishing a catholic presence and then intermixing with indentured and African slaves. Paramin is largely an agricultural village with a strong sense of community. This video is recorded in 2.7K resolution at 30FPS from stabilized dash cam so you get a clean sharp view.

Although herbs like celery, thyme, shadon beni and chives grow all over the island, it is safe to say that Paramin would be considered the Green Seasoning Capital of Trinidad & Tobago.
The terroir of Paramin is a signature feature of the village. Steep hills of rich soil are blanketed with fresh herbs that are enriched by the warm sun and caressed by the cool crisp air of the Northern Range.

One of the truly hidden gems in Trinidad, Hundred Steps Beach! Keep Trinidad clean & love your home!
Hundred Steps Beach is a secluded gem with calm clear waters, great sand and picturesque surroundings set at the base of a verdant green cliff. It is a serene destination by virtue of the difficulty to get to it. Located after Las Cuevas on the North Coast Road, Trinidad. Situated at the base of a cliff, the beach is accessed via a short nature walk from Mitchell Trace to the top of a concrete staircase that leads to the beach. However, you are surprised to learn that a section of the staircase is missing and the completing your descent requires a climb done a rope tied to a tree. But once you are passed the adventurous scramble down the cliff, you realize that this is a destination worth the effort getting to.
NOTE: Several security concerns have been raised about this destination. Please exercise extreme caution and visit in groups.

Seeing the seasoning grow along the mountain side whilst taking deep breaths of some clean, cold fresh air, filling your lungs to maximum capacity. It was simply an experience we will encourage everyone to seek and enjoy. Whilst your here check out their cave as we explored it and it was amazing.

River Estate • Episode 2/Season 4
The River Estates was formerly owned by Mr. James Cadet who sold it to Mr. John Lamont along with 233 slaves and the Waterwheel fully installed.
The purpose of the Water wheel was built to power the rollers to crush the sugar canes.
From the mill the raw cane juice was channelled to the boiling house, where it flowed into clarifiers - large metal pans. Here lime and ashes were added to the juice and it was heated to remove impurities.
The juice was then ladled into the first of a series of five or more large metal basins called 'coppers' which is made of cast iron, were heated to drive off the moisture.
The juice was heated and moved successively down the line of coppers, progressively reducing and thickening.

Paramin has a CAVE!! Leh We Go
Did you know that Paramin has a cave? Well we too were blown away when we first heard about it and added it to our bucket list. We were blessed to have Robbie and Suzie carry us to it and it was simply amazing.
They took us on a tour before reaching the cave where we saw the very famous Parang in Paramin event location, The junction where the J'ouvert is held yearly to witness the Blue Devils and Saturday Powder Party, and not forgetting HFC (Helen's Fry Chicken) which is Paramin's own version of KFC.
We opened this video in tribute to the late great Singing Sandra as we sang her timeless hit song, Paramin. Link below is her song:

The secluded Paria Waterfall can be accessed by hiking trail through Blanchisseuse or Matelot, or by boat. The journey provides breath-taking views of stacks, arches, caves and other natural formations along the coastline. Though some hikers have regarded the hiking level as strenuous, it is doable even for inexperienced hikers and first-timers.
The journey takes about 2 hours each way depending on the speed you move at.
During this coastal hike, you will come across an amazing 50ft peninsula known as Turtle Rock. Its name is derived from the green turtles that frequent the surrounding Caribbean Sea. This spot overlooks the coast and is an ideal backdrop for pictures.
The Paria waterfall is a refreshingly short walk 15 minutes inland from the scenic Paria Beach. Following the river located at the eastern end of the beach, one comes across one of the most remarkable hidden waterfalls. Clean, clear, pristine waters of the Northern Range tumbles over 10ft of rocks into a refreshing and blissful plunge pool, to rejuvenate the body and mind for the hike out.

An Adventure to Avocat waterfall,Trinidad ! It was raining and those falls were POWERFUL !!!
Located just a short distance off the Arima/Blanchisseuse Road is the village of Avocat. Within this village lies one of the most mesmerizing eco destinations in Trinidad – Avocat Falls otherwise known as ‘Gran Fond Falls’ meaning “the river that comes from the sky” as named by the Amerindians. Landscaped by a wall of glistening bronze rocks and lush vegetation, one can enjoy a spray bath behind the curtain of falling water that thunders down into a Jacuzzi type pool below. The surrounding rocks also make a great springboard for jumping into the deep blue-green water below.

I visited with D wife and some family recently and let me tell you i ate so many wings haha ????. The sauces are all homemade and you can taste that incredible paramin flavor!
The roads up are a bit of an adventure but most types of vehicles can make it or you can park and take one of the famous paramin taxis up to this spot.
