Hello friends. Welcome to the Azores. I received an interesting question - on what would I say the worst things about the Azores are.
In this video, first, we are going to talk about what tourists find the most annoying on the Azores (from what I have heard from them the most) and then, a couple of things to consider if you are planning to move here full time.

Last year, when I was traveling around the archipelago, I used the following company for ferries:

Terra Brava, Terceira Island
Terra Brava is a mountainous zone located in the northwest quadrant of the island, in the parish of Agualva, Terceira island. This structure rises 719m above sea level, relating to the Mountainous Massif of Pico Alto, with the highest point being the Pico Alto with 809 m. This complex was formed in part due to a lava flow towards the sea, which gave rise to high cliffs with well-cut bays.
The forest core of this landscape, given the almost human absence, is occupied by a rich forest of endemic vegetation, typical of the Macaronesia, which occupies about 6 square kilometers, a very dense and primitive forest where the orientation is sometimes very difficult with a relief very irregular. It includes the Pico Alto Massif, Pico do Boi, Pico do Juncal, Pico Agudo and Pico Alto.
Terra Brava, ilha Terceira
A Terra Brava é uma zona Montanhosa localizada no quadrante noroeste da ilha, na freguesia da Agualva, ilha Terceira. Esta estrutura eleva-se 719m acima do nível do mar, relacionando-se com o Maciço Montanhoso do Pico Alto, sendo o ponto mais elevado o Pico Alto com 809 m. Este complexo formou-se em parte devido a um escorrimento lávico em direcção ao mar, o que originou arribas altas contastando com baías bem recortadas.
O núcleo florestal desta paisagem, dada a quase ausência humana, é ocupada por uma rica floresta de vegetação endémica, típica da Macaronésia, que ocupa cerca de 6 quilómetros quadrados, floresta bastante densa e primitiva onde a orientação é por vezes muito difícil com um relevo muito irregular. Engloba o Maciço do Pico Alto, o Pico do Boi, o Pico do Juncal, o Pico Agudo e o Pico Alto.

Our home in Terceira boasts views of the Atlantic, overlooking the Angra do Heroísmo bay or the Praia da Vitoria beach. These are the two cities of Terceira Island, part of the Azores archipelago, with a total of 57 thousand inhabitants who, together, live in year-round celebration, both secular and religious.
Between Europe and America, the nine Azores islands are part of routes, journeys and the greatest scenery of the “blue ocean highways”. There is an island with an even greater geostrategic value that was a staging post for the ships that lead the European maritime expansion: Terceira Island.

It is one of the most sought after and most cosmopolitan islands in the Azores, and its port is famous among sailors who cross the North Atlantic. The island of Faial is quite rich in terms of testimonies of volcanic activity, accessible to the visitor. In addition to the magnificent Caldeira volcano, topped by a caldera which, at the top is about 2 km in diameter, to the west there is an alignment of relatively recent volcanic cones, which ends in the Capelinhos Volcano. The latter is the result of the eruption of a submarine volcano, which took place between September 1957 and October 1958. Next to the old lighthouse, the modern Capelinhos Volcano Interpretive Center was recently built, with various exhibitions and multimedia information, aimed at reporting the geological history. islands and in particular the Capelinhos eruption. Faial is one of the islands of the central group with the best sandy beaches, in particular the beaches of Almoxarife, Porto Pim, as well as its privileged view of the island of Pico. The main town on the island is Horta.
