NOT your typical PITTSBURGH city tour!

NOT your typical PITTSBURGH city tour!
This isn't out typical city tour video. We're exploring some Pittsburg gems that are weird, wonderful, and maybe even a little unknown. Come with us as we spend a weekend in the city of bridges. This is going to be fun!

???? Help our channel grow????:

#ispittsburghworthit #pittsburghpa #pittsburghtravelguide

446 bridges (the most in the world!), loads of history, quirky museums, and gorgeous green hills all around, Pittsburgh it's so ridiculously picturesque! Sara's word to describe the city. . . LUSH!

Pittsburgh is one of the larger cities in the United States. This was our first time truly exploring the city together, so we spent the weekend day doing as many touristy things as possible!

And I have a confession. I was a little hesitant coming here, Sara will touch on that in the video, but just driving through a little bit of the city, and seeing all the incredible bridges (and there are a lot of bridges) makes me really excited to see a lot more of this city!

Pittsburgh is a historic city, and several of its most notable attractions honor that. Start by browsing the Carnegie Science Center or Museums of Art or Natural History, then visit the Senator John Heinz History Museum.

Many of its historic sites honor the city’s most notable residents and their legacies. Visit the Andy Warhol Museum or the Big Mac Museum.

Some of the best things to do in Pittsburgh are also the strangest. You’ll see a range of art made of repurposed trash at Randyland and macabre items at Trundle Manor and The Weeping Glass.

Pittsburgh has always been a town that has a strong love for sports, and several of its attractions celebrates this history. Honor its most famous baseball player at the Roberto Clemente Museum or stop by Heinz Field or PNC Park on game day.

Another essential part of Pittsburgh’s history is its designation as the “steel city.” The best way to get a glimpse into this is a visit to the Carrie Furnaces, one of the last remaining blast furnaces in the world.

The industrialization hasn’t taken all of the natural beauty out of the city. Enjoy the surrounding greenery at Grandview Park, Point State Park, or the Melton Park Walled Garden.

Pittsburgh is also a great place to relax and get a drink after a long day of traveling. Stop by the Allegheny Wine Mixer or Church Brew Works. You can also go to the Square Cafe, Pannit’s Bakery, or The Original Oyster House for a bite to eat.

Trying some of the MOST POPULAR foods in Pittsburgh for the First Time!

Today we're doing a Pittsburgh Food Tour, and trying many popular Pittsburgh foods and restaurants for the first time! Pittsburgh still has that gritty, industrial past, however, as foodies can attest, it’s also cultivated quite the culinary scene. One might argue Pittsburgh stacks up against spots in more well-known travel destinations.

???? Help our channel grow????:

Pittsburgh’s foods tend to be the gut-busting, comfort-cuisine variety. They’ve stood the test of time, and are still beloved by locals and visitors alike. Reflective of the city’s immigrant population — past and present — no trip to Pittsburgh is complete without trying at least a few of these Steel City staples. And so we ventured out to try a few ourselves.

We just finished up a great Spring Break visit to Pittsburgh, PA. It was our first time there and I compiled a guide for any first time visitor to the city. Obviously we could not see or do everything in just 72 hours but we gave it our best effort. What did we miss?

Thanks for Watching and Keep Creating!

How To Have a Funky Weekend in Pittsburgh

Looking for a fun weekend trip? This video shows why you should consider Pittsburgh. As you’ll see, so many spots here will blow away what people might expect of this city.

Take Randyland, for example, where you can reimagine what a neighborhood looks like through a collection of found art. Then there’s the contemporary art at the Mattress Factory. Or how about the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, a paddle trail along the Allegheny River you can access right from downtown? There are so many surprising places, like the feminist makerspace, Prototype, or Church Brew Works, a beautiful church fittingly repurposed as a brewery.

If you want a fun weekend, don’t be afraid to hit up Pittsburgh. Just make sure to bring your A game when it’s time to bowl.
