In this video, we’ll provide an overview of the Royal Naval Dockyard, which is where our ship -- the Celebrity Summit -- docked for three days in August of 2019.
The Royal Naval Dockyard is located at the Western end of Bermuda and is sometimes referred to as Kings Wharf or Heritage Wharf. The dockyard is home to restaurants, shopping, attractions, the Clocktower Mall, and many transportation options for exploring Bermuda on your own.

Bermuda By Cruise Ship - King's Wharf (What You MUST SEE on the Island)
I visited Bermuda by cruise ship, arriving at King's Wharf, and will show you what you must see when you visit Bermuda by cruise ship. This was my first time visiting Bermuda. I enjoyed exploring Royal Navy Dockyard in Bermuda, the lighthouse in Bermuda, Hamilton, Bermuda forts, and more!
I set sail from Baltimore, Maryland onboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas. This Royal Caribbean cruise on Enchantment of the Seas took me to Bermuda for a 3-day stay. This was my first time sailing from Baltimore, my first time to Bermuda, and my first time on an older Royal Caribbean ship. Enchantment of the Seas is the third oldest Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

Bermuda Cruise Day 3 (Snorkel Park Beach & Royal Naval Dockyard Tour)
See what we did on the third and final day of our stay in Bermuda via our cruise ship (the Celebrity Summit)! We highly recommend staying at the Royal Naval Dockyard area where your cruise ship is docked because typically it will leave by 3 PM in the afternoon, and you don't want to be farther out in Bermuda and risk being left behind.
Our ship was docked at King's Wharf at the Royal Naval Dockyard. After a late breakfast we grabbed some beach towels and headed out from the cruise port area towards our main attraction for today, the nearby Snorkel Park Beach. We saw lots of folks having fun at what looked like a Pirate Ship, and it turned out to be a bar called Calico Jack's. En route to the Snorkel Park Beach, we saw the area where the Bermuda Bus Stop for the Dockyard is located, plus the Dockyard Courtesy Shuttle as well.
We visited the Snorkel Park Beach which is the closet beach to where the cruise ships dock. It was pretty crowded on this third and final day of both ship's stay in Bermuda, but we managed to have fun and even do some snorkeling as well. The water was pretty clear and we saw quite a few fish, though some of the rocks were pretty sharp under water so be aware.
Afterwards we walked around and visited some shops, including ones in the Clocktower Mall.
Then it was time to head back to the cruise ship for a scenic sail-away. This was from our June 11 day cruise to Bermuda & New England on the Celebrity Summit.

Dockyard Bermuda (Kings Wharf)
This is a short video on Kings Wharf Port (i.e. Royal Naval Dockyard) of Bermuda showing the various tourist attractions & activities. For details, go through
There are two berths in Dockyard - Kings Wharf (which is the first pier built in the early 1800s) and Heritage Wharf which was added later in 2009. Since Kings Wharf was the first berth to operate, most cruise lines continue to show the destination as Kings Wharf and the port which is actually known as Royal Naval Dockyard is also known as Kings Wharf Port.
The 24-acre port area served the British Royal Navy from the early 1800s for over 100 years. It's a large compound that consists of a fortress known as The Keep covering 6 acres which now houses the National Museum of Bermuda, Dolphin Quest (a dolphin training & display centre) located within the fort area, large Clocktower Mall with many boutique shops, several other standalone shops, restaurants, eateries, bars & pubs etc.
There is a ferry dock in the dockyard located close to the cruise piers. Tourists can take a ferry and reach out to Hamilton City in 20 minutes and St. George in 35 minutes enjoying scenic ferry rides on the Atlantic. Buses and taxis are also available to get to various lovely South Shore beaches as well as to Hamilton and other parts of the island.
There are numerous tour operators that operate out of dockyard during the cruise season... such tours include private minibus sightseeing tours, taxi tours, boating and sailing tours of various types some of which include water activities like swimming, snorkelling, etc. You can also rent a scooter or a mini electric car from the dockyard itself to explore the island on your own.

Walking (and ferry boats) in Bermuda - What to do on Your Day in Port
We take the ferry into Hamilton, Bermuda from King's Wharf. Then we take another ferry to the Belmont Ferry stop. Then we walk across the island to Warwick Long Bay and Horseshoe Bay.
This was recorded in April 2019.
Bermuda Cruise Port at Kings Wharf & Bus Ferry Ride Info (4K)
Take a look at what the King's Wharf Bermuda Cruise Port terminal area looks like near the Royal Naval Dockyard. We were in Bermuda via the Celebrity Summit cruise ship in June 2019, and the Norwegian Escape was also there at the same dates. It was a leisurely 5 to 6 minute walk to the area where the Bermuda Public Transportation passes were being sold. They were selling one and two day unlimited passes for ferry/bus tickets. Usually cruise ships dock in Bermuda for three days, but the reason why they only sell up to a 2 day unlimited pass is that it is a bad idea to use public transportation on the third (and final day) as the ships usually leave by 3 PM or so.
From there it was another 5 to 6 minute walk to the Ferry Terminal stop where we boarded the Bermuda SeaExpress boat for a ~25 minute ride to Hamilton on day one of our stay. Right next to the ferry stop is the Bermuda Visitor Services Centre where you can ask questions/get help if needed.
The Bermuda Dockyard Island Tour Centre is a short walk from the cruise port as well where you can take a look to see if there are any local activities/tours that may interest you.
Be sure to bring your Ship Card & Government Issued ID's with you as security will check both when you pass through the cruise terminal again.

In this video, we’ll provide an overview of our first day in Bermuda, when we visited St. George’s, a few of St. George’s beaches, and the Blue Hole Park nature preserve in Hamilton Parish.

The Royal Naval Dockyard 360 - The walk from the dock to bus stop
Here is a short video showing the distance from the dock to the local bus stop.
If you are on a tour bus the busses will stop on the dock in most cases.

The Royal Naval Dockyard was built in the early 19th century as a base for the British Navy. It is now a major tourist area with many attractions, shops, bars, and restaurants.
It is also one of the major ports of call for cruise ships visiting Bermuda. Cruise ships dock at either Heritage Wharf or Kings Wharf, adjacent to each other and just a short walk to the attractions.
