My first Solo trip from Lagos to Togo | Price & details
Join ABC bus from Mile 2 or try to get to seme border from everywhere you stay and join a cab going to Cotonou or Benin Border. From the border take a direct cab going to Lome. I traveled from Cotonou because I spent 3 days in Benin republic and it cost me roughly 7500 to get to Lome from Cotonou and roughly 4 hours.

Maize is the most commonly consumed food in the Togolese Republic.Fish is a significant source of protein. People in Togo tend to eat at home, but there are also restaurants and food stalls.
What is a popular food in Togo?
A staple of Togo's cuisine and culture is fufu. Fufu is a traditional dish made from boiled yams, which are mashed into a dough and served with a variety of sauces and side dishes. Pates, another culinary staple of Togo, are made from maize floor or cassava and are also served with sauces made from vegetables or meats.
Traditional Food you most taste whenever you are in Togo. Togolese dishes are typical of west african dish with most of the abit starchy with vegetables . Most togo traditional food are sold on the street and are easily affordable. One of my favorite Togolese dish is the fufu with okra soup with bush meat.

Atakpamé is the fifth largest city in Togo by population (84,979 inhabitants in 2006), located in the Plateaux Region of Togo. It is an industrial centre and lies on the main north-south highway, 161 km north of the capital Lomé. It is also a regional commercial centre for produce and cloth.
Atakpamé dates from the 19th century and was first settled by Ewe and Yoruba peoples. It developed as both a commercial centre on a major north-south caravan route and as a haven for refugees fleeing from Dahomean attacks. As a consequence, Atakpamé experienced numerous destructive assaults by the kingdom of Dahomey. It is the centre of an important cotton-growing area and trades in both cocoa and coffee.
